Mo`s CL project.....

If there's no bbq then maybe somewhere to put a disposable - which you could sell - cos we DON'T all necessarily have one on board, especially us smaller vans. I've seen picnic tables with an aluminium insert for that, at a park in Bidford on Avon, they were really well used.
I think this style works best, and easier to get into

Perhaps consider recycled plastic rather than wood? Easier maintenance and no risk of splinters in yer bum.
Maybe an open-sided shed for partying in the rain??? - at a CO on Anglesey saw an octagonal one with alternate sides left out, benches around, and a chimney hole in the middle with a fire below. Great for getting people socialising.

Love the digger, conservatory Maurice . Bench would be great on cl not sure if many would use BBQ . But a fite pit would be great x

Agree with other views on BBQ, but benches are always welcome.

Not sure myself about fire pit, you may get all sorts of problems from your local authority re safety aspects especially if kids are allowed on site. Don’t know for sure, but know how Council kill joys can work. (Never had any such issues when we were kids, a bloody miracle we survived!)

How about organising Funster work party's at your place next year @Jim , we supply the labour and and you supply the pitch and a barby ?

@Jim would be up for this too (y)

Maybe one BBQ that you can use for a communal BBQ evening and we all get around it etc - save us all piling into your house and patio area like before, but benches would be good idea as we often use these if they are available and put our Safari Chef on them.

Our generation on the whole has common sense and a get out there and do it attitude .......... most of today's lot would appear to expect somebody else to think and look out for them.

Great looking conservatory!
That didn't take long.
Looking forward to visiting again :-)

Conservatory is looking good Mo(y)
Looks like you are teaching Daisy to operate the digger:giggler:

Oops forgot ......picnic table yes....... BBQ no

Great work Mo. Like the suggestions of a fire pit :-) if possible as had a good fire going at Jim’s place and all the other mhs came and sat around it great for socialising:-) hope to come visit one day :-) Regards Garry Flatpackchicken

No to BBQ (for all the reasons above, especially the fact that you'll get some plonker leaving it filthy) but yes to the tables.

What about fixing a nice bit of slate or something similar to the end of each bench for folk to put disposable BBQ trays on? Have seen far too many of these expensive benches ruined by idiots using them as a cooking table and burning ruddy great big holes in the wood. (Oops, just realised @CWH said that ...)

Hi Kate

A fite pit, sounds good. We could have some mud wrestling:LOL::LOL:

Love to you all. I missed Bills birthday, so Many Happy Returns Bill for the other day. Hope you were spoiled rotten xxxx

Really pleased for you Mo, thats what you call "Living The Dream" with your very own CL(y)
I think you are very close to the M6, so that will be a useful stop for many heading North or South, so will call in on the way up, when you are ready.
All the best to you and yours.

Yes to communal BBQ (y), love them in France when available, saves alot of hassle especially if only 2 people, sharing of the coals once lit etc.. But the site owners come round and clean them each morning, just the ashes generally, also need to offer or sell wood or coals.

Picnic table nice but not essential, they will be moved all around the site.

BBQ-No Bench-Yes please. Swimming pool, hot tub, diving board, rapids, and sauna would be nice too Mo. (y)

Craig

You have caused me a lot of extra work Craig.. @simsy56 ... :swear2:

Started on your bloody "Swimming Pool".... :moon2:

Had to call it a day as it started to rain and was getting a bit muddy and churned up..

Will a 60ft X 20ft be ok for you.. (y)

Heck Mo you haven't hung around, brilliant
Idea for the benchs, I love the idea of a fire pit, the conservatory looks good, think it was worth the hassle you had to get it, looks like it's a keeper, great location, bags me put my name down for Christmas Lights next year , I have a feeling your going to be busy. x

Having the patio tables made out of recycled plastic is a good idea, dear though. I have just replaced one of the pubs patio table tops, with black recycled plastic, 3 x 3m lengths were nearly £100 I think. Lasts forever and never needs painting.(y)

Landlord is bil so mates rates less 100%:)

What would you like to see and would you use the facility`s..??

Would you use one of these if a couple were to be installed... ??

And a couple of these.

AthollAFramePicnicTableLarge600.jpg

Just a couple of each between the 5 Hard Standings...

.....................................................................................................

An update on progress..... me digger has arrived, so work can start with that....

Tracked down a builder that will build an extension En-suite for our bedroom, and an outside Washroom/WC for the CL... (Work to start shortly..)

And decided to build a 15mtr square hard standing for my Mo-home and any large RV`s that come, as the entrance to the property is plenty wide and big enough to get large vehicles in..

Conservatory is all but finished, I have just got to render and plaster the inside wall`s and build some outside steps..

And the Nissan hut/pig sty and small barn/cattle shed is being knocked down and rebuilt in a few weeks....

2 log burners going in next week and new family bathroom beginning of November...

So things are starting to happen... :dance2: :clap2: (y)

I'd like to see you had moved on.

You really do not hang about, I've been thinking about getting our derelict garage with an asbestos roof removed for two years, and I'll probably still be thinking about it in another two. You are an amazing couple.
