This appeal from Paul Dale is all over Facebook Groups & looks genuine so hoped that Funsters in Spain & Portugal might be able to keep a look out for this missing lady motorhomer & maybe share to other motorhomers too:

MISSING PERSON
Please share to as many Motorhome FB groups.
4th May 2023.

My Mum is travelling alone through Portugal and Spain in her Motorhome, she has not been in touch for four days and we are unable to make contact with her. It has been reported to the police and the British consulate and she is now on the European Interpol missing list.
She last posted on FB Saturday evening on the 1st May and we believe the beach photos taken were somewhere near, Playa De Almayate, Bajamir. Near Malaga.
She is driving an Elddis Autoquest 2012.
Reg PO62CZE, we are unsure of the direction She may be travelling but claimed she was driving 2/3hrs a day.
Her name is Jasmine, 75 years old, 5ft 7inch long dark brown hair.
If anyone is currently in the south of Spain around Malaga or the southern coast of Spain could you please check the sites or aires you are in for the vehicle.
can be contacted via email
Paulhdale@gmail.com 24/7
Or contact the local Malaga Police with any information. Tel: 952046200 or the British consulate.

Is there more to this ?
'Missing' whilst on holiday for 3 days is not abnormal.

Camping in a place with zero coverage, a flat battery, just enjoying the peace and quiet.
My sister regularly goes 'missing' for weeks at a time whilst travelling.

Does the van not have a tracker fitted ? as it's not an old van

hopefully it is just a case of her internet device going flat or lost and fingers crossed she'll be in touch very, very soon and allay the fears for her safety..

.

Bit confused. Wasn’t Monday the 1st May?

Seen this on another couple of FB pages. It’s now saying last heard on 29th April which was a Saturday so probably just wrong date written at first.

The actual Facebook post of Paul Dale says photo posted on 29 April which was a Saturday
In these days of share and copy/paste amazing how Chinese Whispers still go on.

Just seen that Wombles posted on this morning, I will leave this thread as cannot delete it.

And she is 75, so let's give the report a bit of credence and treat it as genuine. It's far too important to treat as any less than that.

Another thread here Broken Link Removed with photos (y)

I hope all is well . Sometimes people just need time alone .

Stuff in the secret sections can not be read by many of us.
What does it say ?

So what's secret squirrel qualification do you need to be able to see that? I am fully paid up memebr but the link tells me I need to be a "subscriber" to read it - what's the difference?

I assume you've been naughty in the past and are now not allowed into the U shaped lounge area.

Thanks - as far as I am aware, the only U-shaped lounge I have been in is the one in my moho. I did once (a long time ago) do an unexpected trip to Coventry for a comment that was frankly innocuous (or so I thought, but summary justice is what it is) but that was on the general forum.

I'm in email contact with Paul as I made him aware of the thread & he has sent this latest update:
From all the new info we have, the last place she was seen or heard from was Playa De Almayate Bajamir.
She left there at 10.30am and we believe she is heading for Granada via B roads.

This is the route I think she has taken to Granada. Makes sense lots of scenery and two lakes to visit. There is a camping site called camping Granada Los Bermajales she may have stopped in on the second lake.
A356 to Velez Malaga heading toward Los Gomez.
From the first lake the A402 towards Puento De Salia, onto Ventas De Zafarraya.
Then A338 to the lake with the campsite.
After that the road leads to Granada.

They are the same thing.

Someone accused me of hypocracy and double standards in the way I moderated the U shaped lounge, you jumped right in and agreed. Now neither of you can see the blatant hypocracy and double standards at play.

As the van is only 2012 there is a good chance it's fitted with a tracker.

(Even an inactivated one fitted by an earlier owner or dealer)
It would be worth a ring around the major tracker suppliers to see if they have the registration ever recorded, as they have the ability to reactivate a tracker remotely.

Good idea - if you/ any other Funsters can suggest possible tracker suppliers I'll make a list for Paul & pass it on to him.

Vodafone (very popular a few years ago)
Metatrac
Scorpion

Are names that come to mind, but there are more.
Also ask the original dealer, if they know who sold it to her
Also a quick call to the major installers such as VanBitz would tell you if they have the number plate listed.
