Rally Maypole Bash at Old Mo's, 4th May to 8th May

Oh yes please that would be great Bill has a competition rifle feinwerkbau 601 and Maurice has a 22air rifle as well we have a a large bulls eye target Maurice has smaller targets. Bill brought some pellets with feathers on so we could find them after shooting just in case folk don't hit the target lol
If anyone else wants to bring any with them that would be great, I'm sure we can organise a few competitions between us. .
I'm sure the blokes will be emptying a few cans of beer which we can use for target practice (y)
Regards Kate

I might bring Les's .22 , I've never used it &-would appreciate someone showing me how pls (y)

How about pistols ?
And I would like to bring along my DJI Spark.. I could demo fly it for folk ( not that I am particularly good but as it is tiny and weighs less that a sparrow perhaps folk may like to see it in action ?

Weather/Ground update.....

Did another grass cut today......... the more I cut the more the grass drinks... :clap2: (y)

Positively getting firmer and firmer... Tractor makes no impression on the ground... No rut`s or anything, and that weighs about 3 tons...

As long as the 1 months rain in one day stay`s in the East as forecast we will be OK...(y)

The £50-00 Tow on Tow of fee I charge is looking like it wont happen ...... :swear2: :crying::wink:

See you all next week......  :party2: :beerchug:

Sounds promising. (y) Fingers firmly crossed.

We do have one additional complication if the ground conditions are still a bit 'iffy' & that's Jane's wheelchair. Although rated as an outdoor chair, it's not supposed to be an 'off-road' chair & really doesn't cope well with wet grass, puddles & especially mud. The tyres are more like racing slicks. In fact she wrecked the previous chair of the same model by driving through a puddle in Sweden. Unfortunately the puddle was concealing a bit of a pothole & it wrecked the motor controller. The upside was that as it is a Swedish made chair, we only had to deviate a few miles from our planned route to call in at the factory & they fixed it for her! But that experience has made her very twitchy when the ground conditions aren't good.

So we will have to take that into consideration when parking up. It wouldn't do to have Jane confined to the van all weekend because the chair can't cope with the ground conditions.

Tell Jane I will give her a piggy back to where ever she want`s to go....

The ground is OK level and no big holes... grass will be cut real short...

So should be no problems... (y)

On top of that we are going to have the start of the next heat wave... :sun:

I watched Carol VERY CLOSELY on BBC weather this morning as I lay in bed :D
Forecast looking good here in Staffordshire (y) 18 degrees dry and maybe even some sun...

On the A5 just off jn 12 of the M6 between the motorway and the A449 is a BP garage and also opposite is a small independant retailer just down the lane. I know some were struggling at Easter and rumours of shortages.
I am going there tomorrow to enquire about those Safefill bottles as it's only a mile from me, will give an update then.

I tried the BP Garage and and they were out of gas so I went to the independent one who were cheaper. It is down a narrow lane but you don’t have to drive down far. I will be filling up there on Wednesday.

I think there was a bit of a shortage at Easter, all those blinkin caravanner's and Motorhomes filling up after the winter. ;)
Went down the lane once but was in the car, as you say Dave a bit narrow but it's a dead end and not much traffic.

Think @daveandsan got gas the one day so try messaging him. @Tonks do you know anywhere
I know @Terry went looking for similar Easter and they were shut so I'd ring up first Dave

We are coming as day visitors on Saturday
Any particular time and is it yourself we come and check in with

I may be persuaded to bring an air rifle, if sil will let me borrow it.

Son in law is more than happy to loan me his air rifle, but one very small problem
It is a precharge rifle, and I’m wondering if any body going along would have a charging cylinder I could scrounge some air from,
Hopefully Geoff
