Sorry Sue. Our area is full and we can't take any more. Just been told they have over 3500 pre-booked campers of which we are over 150.
Only 135 on the list. where are the others hiding

Ask Pamelaaar and Brisey how many turn up without letting us know on the forum. We always seem to have between 5 and 10% who don't let us know they are coming in the thread. Loads book it, then don't look at the thread again:eek:

@Landy lover reminded me that we have loads of space with the RVOC. They are parked quite close to us (close enough to keep them awake:)) and closer to the show. Hardstanding as well. Might be worth contacting him if I get no Joy this weekend (y)

It would have easily gone past 170 and it is great for FUN I'm glad I booked early but sad some friends will be missing

..and then there are those who book to get the Funster discount but don't show up on our rally field so they may balance things out a bit.

I see Jim's point about not wanting to be shoved into somewhere across the road, but it is looking good for next year....... Team Duck are looking forward to it.

If you do get any more spaces Jim we would like one unable to plan any earlier due to hospital appointments and was disappointed to see the FULL sign also Ifor would like to have one also,he is on holiday at the moment and has no wifi to contact you . Thank you

Doh, assumed as long as I didn't miss the booking deadline that I would be there with the Funsters. Am soooooo disappointed ....

Oh, blast. :censored::cry: Another one here missed out. I have to leave booking as late as possible because of the unpredictability of OH's health. I too had assumed we would be ok up to the end of the month. A victim of our own success, which is a small consolation. Both the clubs I belong to have sold out their space - must say something for my good taste & judgement. :)

Jim - do you have a map of the site? We would qualify for the disabled area, so if it's not too far away from FUN I suppose we could go there. Or I could join MMC (as well - not instead!) as I was thinking of doing that anyway.

We were coming for the company rather than the show, so if we can't get somewhere near, we'll have to give it a miss. I don't suppose we are alone - you can make the point to Warners that they will be missing out on £thousands if they can't accommodate some more Funsters.

Also just tried to book today, don't fancy the general area though, not with 3500 others! This was going to be our first motorhome show, maybe try Lincoln later in the year.

If you have to go in general so be it, you will still be extended a warm welcome in the fun area I am sure.

There are some funsters who prefer to keep their movements less public for a variety of reasons. We do at times and its nothing to do with anyone on fun.

What we do in those situations is we send a PM to either Jim or the marshals so that they know we will be attending, but we dont always publicise it on the list

Martin why not join RVOC its motorhomefun's sister site and your avatar shows you would fit in perfectly. they are normally parked quite near fun too and if I remember there is a discount for being a member of both sites hope that helps

are rvoc near fun?
Is there a camping map please?

Thanks, Sue

Hi Sue, RVOC are usually situated about 200 yards away from the Funsters pitch on a hard standing area.
I don't have a map of the site as yet and so I can only assume that they have the same pitch as in previous years.
Brisey.

Wow, put our name down but it appears I never booked.

Oh well, such is life. Just have to find another rally that weekend or go with MCC or even liven up the Facts area....

Thanks for that - if you look in the bottom right hand corner you will see the Wye and Avon halls Fun is in the field behind them in the very bottom right hand corner RVOC are on the long strip of grass immediately in front of the halls and ARVE are between the halls same as last year. Less than 100 yards from Fun if you are at the top end

I have put map I received from Warners when I received our tickets hope it helps.
Thanks for that. Might go for the Disabled area then - looks like it could be next door & you'll all have to walk past us to get into the show anyway.

Hmm - maybe not such a good idea - kettle might not keep up with the cup of tea demands on the return journey. :cautious:

Hi Paul I pressed the like button for your comment about facts, not for the comment about forgetting to book :(

With that number I am off to buy a tractor and do a rain dance, 3500 campers on a wet field, charge say £10 each to drag out with my tractor = £35000, well on my way to buying the next motorhome!!!
Amazing what a Scottish upbringing does to help think of moneymaking ideas.
