Yes, thank you Marshall’s for all your hard work. We really enjoyed the show but had to cut our weekend short and come home yesterday with an unwell doggy!

Many thanks to all the movers and shakers, the players and providers who made for yet another excellent rally.

But

Do we get double bacon rolls next time?

Thank you so much to the marshalls @toledo and @TheHat for all your hard work.
Good luck for the op Dave. We will be thinking of you.
Sorry We didn’t get in the marquee this year as busy catching up with old friends and new.
Traffic reports horrendous for our journey home so detoured into Cotswolds and are spending a lovely few hours in a picnic area near Broadway tower. We are practically parked on the Cotswold Way . But they do lock gates at dusk apparently...
Heading home once we are chucked out of here.
Have a safe journey home everyone

Thanks to all the Funsters folk that made this a memorable meet, the marshalling was excellent with vans parked up at precisely 6m spacing, nice bit of string Bill (y). Take care with your health Dave, hope the op and recovery is successful and that you are soon back on the road to sunnier climes.
Cheers Stu for the entertainment, what the **** was that dance you got the girls doing? it looked like some pagan ritual just without the sacrifice at the end.
We move on to the Plumb bash tomorrow to do it all again, this Funster malarkey is bloody hard work.
Thanks again all.
Cheers
Ed and Shirley

Got home about 3:30. Now all sorted and ready to travel again Thursday. Thanks t the Marshalls, the band and the organisers of the Bingo and Jacobs table at the festival. I was sorry that nothing social happened Sunday night in the marquee. I walked over a few times but no one else there. I didn’t hear any complaints about festival lights on flagpoles. Apologies if they disturbed anyone at the festival. I turned mine off about 10:00, but would have done so earlier if asked. I did get a few people thank me for having them on as entertainment.

6m? Organisers told me I had to be exactly 8 - 10m! Luckily my bit of string a bit longer than Bill’s.:D

Its not that simple. Those poor Marshalls have to consider door position, any lived in spaces outside the van, fire access roads and many other factors. There’s probably a degree course in it. And you must have a smiley face all the time. Seriously though, it’s a long hard day for them, and without their considerable effort where would we be?

Arrived home about an hour ago after heavy traffic, detours to avoid blocked roads and lunch. We have just finished unpacking and will have to start the packing and sorting out the van tomorrow ready for our next trip.

Many thanks to the marshals for their hard work making the weekend run smoothly. We had a great time meeting up with old friends and meeting new ones (y)

I was up in the naughty corner, top right. Kept meaning to look for you but the time went so quickly and you were at the top of that big hill weren't you?

A big thank you to the stewards for your efforts much appreciated. Did not manage to socialise in the marque as we met up with old friends from England, Scotland and both N & S Ireland so had some great nights enjoying the entertainment in the venues. Presently on a CS site near Newbury, ferry tomorrow Portsmouth to Santander for a 3 month jolly.

Many thanks to the marshals, you deserve medals for organising and problem solving when there are so many vans.

A very good time was had by most I think and for those who didn't enjoy I would say "try a bit harder next time". Life is what you make it, you're a long time dead.

Apologies to Sian for the melancholy moments, your plate is as full as mine. I wish you and your lot all the very best.

Anne

Malvern was our 1st rally and our 1st Funster meet and we were in the orange Globecar near the marquee.
We had a fantastic time and learnt a lot
1. We can last 3 days without electric
2. When it says Western show it really means western
3. Almost everyone we met made an effort to make us feel welcome. Your efforts were really appreciated and we are already trying to make time for another meet/rally.
4. Next time take the guitar
5. Don't buy beer in the bar, take our own.
6. If you have a little van, you can turn up late and still get a great pitch
7. Line dancing is harder than it looks on the telly

Thank you everyone, it was a blast. We'll be there again next year

Simon, Michelle & Logan the spaniel

I didn't attend Malvern this year but Jeff and Chris @welshcakelady kindly volunteered to relieve me of a box and bag of books to be sold on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK. at the show.

Just to prove that there are honest people in the Funster Community, he operated an 'Honesty Box' to pay for them.

I would thank all those who took up the offer of the books available and at the same time inform all that at the end of the Show the money raised £28.04, (Who gave the 4p? They all did!) LOL.

As usual, when we get back to Emmit HQ we will fire off a letter and cheque for the above amount to Prostate Cancer UK and I will publish their letter of receipt on here.

Once again, thank you for supporting this worthwhile cause.

Kindest Regards

Derek aka Emmitdb

Going on from the above, I've finally got home and opened the sack of mail waiting behind the door. Thank you for your patience.

This rally seems so long ago?

When the Funsters attended Malvern, you raised £28.04 for the benefit of Prostate Cancer UK.

It's taken me a while to be able to report on here the receipt of the monies as we got sidetracked away from our holiday to do nursing duties in Stafford. For the delay, I apologize.

It will be seen from the letter received from the charity that the monies received by them would seem to be inexcess to the monies sent which were raised at this particular rally.

This is because, despite me sending three separate letters from the three events of Lymington (£318) Malvern (£28.04) and Pershore (£105.70) Prostate Cancer UK sent me just one letter back, amalgamating the three sums into one final total.

In addition to the letter received, I post on each of the respective rally threads my letter to them which accompanied the cheque.
