Good plan to walk to Church at Normanton and back - thats about right. The full circular route is 26 miles or 17 miles if you miss out the peninsular.
Only part of the route is cycle path by the reservoir, other parts are footpath and dodging traffic on the main road.
Have a great time, love it there, we have friends living in the nearby village of North Luffenham.

My fridge has stopped working on 240v.
Googling suggests it might be the element that has burnt out/expired - apparently the test is resistance - it should have ohms. If it has none this is likely to be the problem.

Maybe naively I've assumed I've got electric to my fridge because the control panel illuminates, the fridge lights come on and the gas burner ignites.

Stephen, we have a CBE DS470, although the arrangement of the fuses are different the symbols are familiar. That snowflake symbol is for the fridge on our van, our description states '...30Afuse to give power to 12V AES and 3-way fridge. The 3-way fridge turns off automatically when engine is off....'

Personally, I would turn off fridge and any power you can then would pull it out hold up to light and see if still intact if not replace and try again. If you have a multimeter then again I think a prong in each of the little slots either side of the 30 can be used to test continuity.

I can't even manage to get the clear plastic cover off !

Yay - I'm a technical wizard,
managed to open the plastic cover without breaking it
managed to remove the fuse without electrocuting myself

The fuse looks intact
What setting/scale should I use on my multimeter to test it?


I also have a bodge it solution, just replace it with another...
