Here is the updated spreadsheet. I have not yet found a coach company that will take lots of dogs, but will keep looking!

Yes please 2 of us.
Wondered what to do with my Tesco vouchers.
Will there be duty free??

Just to manage expectation, the first couple of coach companies I have contacted will not take the number of dogs we are proposing, but I will keep trying

We will only qualify for duty free if IOW follows Catalonia's lead. Never say never! I don't think the tax on coloured sand is particularly high anyway

Yes I suppose it's the health and safety aspect again ? If I can count.... it's 6 very well behaved MHF dogs ????

@Mr Chrysalis Looking at your spreadsheet we are Pamela and Derek. Either rover ticket or coach trip but dog will be happy to stay in the motorhome.

Oops. Sorry Derek, I knew that! Have to blame my secretary

And I can only count 6 SMALL well behaved MHF dogs!!

I see how you get to 6. You have taken those that have stated a preference for the coach and counted their dogs. However it's early days yet and I have assumed that if there is a coach that takes dogs, then some of those that have stated a preference for Rover tickets would switch to the coach ( as there is a restriction of 2 dogs per bus, at drivers discretion). I, for example would switch to the coach - I would feel I had to as I am organising it! I have explained that MHF dogs are well behaved and used to travelling long distance in luxury Motorhomes. So far the companies I have spoken to are reluctant but to be fair they have been at the executive end of the market. I will keep trying, there's plenty of time yet.

We have only just booked onto the rally so am chasing to catch up with all the trips etc.

We would like to go on the Isle of Wight trip if there are any spaces left.

2 adults without canine friends please.

Many thanks.

Yvonne & Vic

I have now managed to find s coach company that is happy to take some dogs (and people!) provided we are responsible for them. I have indicated that we are about 30 people and about 10 dogs at the moment. The cost of the coach is £380 for the day, so the more we take, the cheaper it will be. The coach has 46 seats. Please will those that have said "either" or those that have opted for Rover Tickets instead please let me know if they would now like to join the coach. If we get 40 people the coach will be cheaper than the Rover tickets. If you could possibly pm me or post on this thread with number of adults/children/dogs for the coach trip I will try to update the table this weekend. If you would also add requests for places to visit I can start to build an itinerary with the coach company. Do people think 9am to 9pm on the IOW is a reasonable time?

I think I'm down for both/either.
So preference would be
Coach trip for one person + one dog [greyhound]
Ta

*is this the info you need

Hi Chris. Please include us on the coach trip rather than Rover tickets. As it's a long day we will be taking the dog with us - therefore two adults and one small dog. Thanks

Thanks for those that have replied quickly.

Having consulted with our leader @Wombles, we think it would be sensible to charge a small amount for dogs, say £2?, then divide the rest of the cost between human passengers ( it should be around £10 each or less I think. Would dog owners be happy with that?

Yes (y)

Sorry @Mr Chrysalis
Think we're more likely for a rover ticket if that's ok.
(Our mutts are a smidge too large and boisterous !)

:( Sorry but 9/9 would prove to long a day for us but as always Karen has found a solution that works. :clap2:

Thanks for all your hard work (y)
Jude
