Loading The Motorhome Garage?

hi ,,having a big garage is great, first time away with it, i found myself just throwing everything in ,,but has anyone got ideas about good loading methods how to use the space better ,,thanks

The plyboard is resting on a step in garage, the floor would be just as good. Board is attached to the van bulkhead by 4 x M6 coach bolts and sleeve nuts, these were coated in CT1 sealant before fitting to prevent water ingress. The sleeve nuts go through plyboard and tighten coach bolts into panel until just a slight depression of panel to ensure the CT1 has continuous pressure sealing it. The 2 corners of the board have a peel rivet in to stiffen up board and stop it flapping, these are both internal so water ingress not a problem. The board has been fitted for the past 3 years with no problems or water ingress. This might be what you're after - I looked high and low for a proper system and after discovering that the German manufacturer was eye-wateringly expensive, I designed my own (I'm a CAD nerd). I'd be happy to price up a unit if you can send me your garage height and how much you'd like to store; ours is 915mm deep, 495mm wide and 830mm tall. It uses Euroboxes which are 400 x 300 x whatever height you want - in our version (Roller Team T-Line 740 with a big garage) we get 132 litres of storage that's all accessible, and I can swap out the boxes for other stuff at home - plus you get the looks of pure envy from ever other MH on the site - worth leaving the garage door open just for the compliments!

That looks excellent! I'd be worried about the extra weight though. Any idea how much all that weighs before filling the boxes?

Fair point - though the frame is aluminium and the boxes plastic, the long sliders are serious bits of steel - I calculated it at 35kg all in

Not a waste if that's what you want and means you can utilise the space better for your own needs. Not everyone takes bikes, we don't now as with 3 dogs all that happened was that the bikes used to have long holidays and never see the light of day!

With taking a larger buggy for our Tazzy now they'd be too jammed in anyway so even if we did want to use them we'd probably not bother with the faff of getting them out.

yEs.....The best so far.......I conscidered the same...but lacked the skills to do DIY....cOST TOTALLY restrictive. a company to do it £1350...!!!!!

I made a table to fit into the garage in order to avoid too much moving everything on top out to get to what’s underneath. We also carry two folding electric bikes so I cut recesses to locate each bike in the same place each time we load and unload.

Jees you carry some crap lol

Bit of the crap came in very handy last week, water tank pump died. So use the little roll along waterbutt pump and hose to get system back in use so could carry on rest of trip.

I have seen in a N&B new product video a rail system for the underfloor storage area where you access it from the inside that uses euro boxes where you can slide them across, back to front and side to side to access the different boxes. Brilliant idea and appropriate for some other models that have underfloor storage areas - and so is your garage solution well done.
