Rally Lincoln Motorhome Show 2024

Due to a bit of a dental emergency we won't be there as planned on Thursday.
We may be able to arrive later but otherwise put back to Friday.
It all depends on how the appointment goes.
Thanks to all you long suffering marshals.

Hi, we will arrive a day earlier than planned. See you later today, probably late afternoon

A little later than ideal, but we’ve finally achieved lift off. Just the 150+ miles between us and Lincoln, satnav optimistically predicts arrival at circa 18:30, but knowing the route we’re on, I suspect that could be wrong by 30-60 mins. Wish us luck…

As mentioned in a previous post on here, the entrance has changed and a long way round from past years. Just follow the "camper" signs and you will get here.
Unlike some caravans that we followed who tried to turn into old gateways and came up against dead ends

It's gate 6. A long way round the back of the show ground.

Arrived , sited by the wonderful Stewards as always, paid my subscription which I always do when I'm here. Settled for a few hours before the 20:00 entertainment in the marquee, start of a great Rallie as always. Thanks to all for organising the best group on site.

To the Rally Marshals attention!
Hi just to advice you that unfortunately due to a breakdown needing urgent attention we have had to return to the Island and will no longer be at the rally apologise for the late notice had no signal on board the ‘Manxman’.
Steve.

Wow thankyou so much Jim & Sian for a fab night . Just Like old times dancing and singing the night away with the funster family absolutely fantastic 🤗👍❤️💃🕺

1 glass left in marquee washed and waiting to be returned to its owner . If it's yours let me know Kate x IMG_20240921_091957.jpg

Setting off to be day visitors as soon as madam is ready. Will try & drop in to the 3pm gathering. See you later.

It’s a tale as old as time, woman doesn’t pay attention/listen to man, instructs man to act. Woman subsequently overhears man mumbling to self, woman then changes her mind… :whistle2:

Assuming Madam has squirrelled them away in one of her accessible safe places, would anyone like to re-home 2 tickets to the Mud & Bony M experience in the marquee this evening? Nothing asked in return, maybe chuck a couple of quid to a relevant charity of choice if you fancy it?

Gas fridge help required at lincoln, our dometic fridge will not light on gas runs fine on 12v and the gas is fine on the hob. 18 plate bailey. Any gurus at the show could see where were going wrong?

Have you tried cleaning the jet and the burner area of any debris.?

Funsters at Lincoln in the sun right now. Enjoying a beer and bangers while being royally entertained by fellow Funsters.

Now I know why Jim spent so long cleaning his trailer and van roof ;)

Its
Thanks jimbo , it was our friends first time on a fun rally with a new to them van and it needed the control knob pushing and holding for the thermo couple, all good now 👌
Usually always the simplest of reasons. (y)

‘By heck, that’s a big one’, I said to the Ringleader as the music from his Bluetooth speaker vibrated through the van. No chance of staying inside when there’s a party going on with Funsters on Friday night.
A great afternoon with a wide variety of music on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who played and sang. We (DuxDeluxe) may have remained on the sidelines in the shade, but we enjoyed everything.
Cracking bangers from Jim and Siân: always nice to have a sorsarge!
