LIFE AFTER HELGA !!!!

Good morning,, well I’ve been up since 4am !!

we’re out of the EU now, but strangely I don’t feel any different!! Lol

I decided to do something a bit different, for me, than anything I’ve done before, re kitchen wall ! I suppose it’s just the bricklayer in me coming out!!

ok, I do have to touch up with white in a couple of places,where the paint got under the masking tape,, but on the whole, I like the affect,,, I’m pleased!! What do you think??

I left it stepped like this because looking at the original amount, I thought it might be too much to go all over! Xx

Would have thought they were already new painted but didn't like to say but do like the concrete block look :doh: :giggle:

I love the colour and the ‘block work’ in the kitchen is inspired.

hi mikey,,,

yes I’m allowed to paint, but not allowed to wallpaper, because of settlement cracks, if there’s any, they want to see them!

the walls were just painted white all over, and there was filthy hand marks all over too, from builders,,, so chas, that’s why I’m trying to cover the worst! Xx

I looked at the first pic and thought "What a mess. Did he really do that?" Then I scrolled down to the 2nd and realised what the 1st pic was! Great job, Ian.

your mrs gave it to me yesterday, while you were out!! By the way,, your out of digestive biscuits! Lol.
 
Well done Ian, Flat is looking smart, hopefully the weather will pick a bit now, and that builder chap will stop messing you around with a start date. I know we would all like to tell him to stuff it, but needs must I guess.
Seeing how you have made improvements, and have taken so much pride in your new place, are your new neighbours doing the same, I wonder?
I cant help thinking what state "Cat Womens" flat is looking/smelling like:eek:, it breaks my heart to think that someone is given a brand new flat, and destroys it, because they either dont know any different, or dont read the tenancy agreement properly, or ignore its meaning to suit themselves, i.e 4 cats!
If they have mental health issues, why are they not monitored more regularly,to stop things getting out of hand.
At least she doesn't have kids living in squalor, small mercies maybe.

hi les,,,

well she has been told to get rid of two cats,, we shall see! I’m afraid the smell is creeping back, and I did have a word with her about it, and to her credit, she went out and got some better litter, for her trays,, it is better, but thankfully that air fresher we put in the hall helps to mask it! Apart from that, I havnt and won’t go near her flat, so I don’t know how it looks,, Xx
