Let's get Frankie back on the road

Jim Do I have the right info when it says; Per 2,9% + 0,30 dollar deduced from each donation + 15% for the site to support the platform ?
Try this Frankie it will give you a good guide
You may need to convert the amount to euros to add to the calculation

The 15% is optional and can be anything from 0% upwards. For instance, I chose to donate an extra 5% as I think the platform performs a great service.

The other charges you are correct on. You can see them here:

That is interesting.
When I’ve donated to various friends’ pages I knew and understood the additional optional 15%. However I didn’t (probably because I didn’t read carefully) know that 2.9% and $0.30 was also deducted from my donation.
I suppose they have to make enough money to run the company which does provide an easy way to donate.

I added a transaction fee so that should help keep the fees down for Frankie yodeli
Ohoooo Dear, do not worry!! Just imagine, I never relied on this to start with! So it's all a huge bonus. And I just find today a way to park Max safely without paying anything when I travel with the Kangoo, and vice versa! I'm already so grateful, and find it normal that they ( people of godfundme) do everything to make things easy for people who donate!

Certainly , and I'll be more than happy to contribute on a regular basis (Got to call JJ :ROFLMAO::cool::p:love: ...)
Seriously.... once I'll be out of the fog, I know the sun will be shining on the road for Max and me!!!

Only real negative thing is that I won't be able to host motorhomers anymore.... ! But I will have time to find nice places, and I'll try to stay in contact with the municipal police!
Such a shame you so far away I would be thare with my mig welder in a shot to hep you
But south of France is just a bit to far :(

OK Frankie I tried to enter your bank details into go fund me, but it was going to be a verification nightmare, so I have added my bank account for the withdrawal.

Once it hits my account I will forward it direct to your account. They have initiated two payments but they are not with me yet. It should be Monday or Tuesday I would guess.. See the screenshot from the dashboard. Total charges from the fund so far is £244.16. Some funds are still in transit. Two payments have been initiated and transfers will happen once every day until the fund is empty.

You can see exactly what you will get, but in ££. My bank (barclays) will convert it to Euros, I have no idea what the rate will be.

Best wishes. xx

Thank you ever so much! I'm sorry you had troubles with my details. I guess the political situation between the 2 countries has something to do with it! Anyway, you are a real star! Hope you find some time to call in with Sian before I leave the stadium!, so I can cook something nice and... French (or blackfoot if you prefer!) hopefully before I have no more tools to cook!

Nothing of the sort really, It s that I would have needed you on the phone and you'd have had to give me your bank login details, it was all a bit of a faff. No worries....I will be able to transfer it to you quickly. We'll transfer £1 and as soon as you confirm that we have the right account we'll do an instant transfer (y)

I had no idea Gofundme took a "tax" off our donations. I paid a percentage "tip" on top of my donation, I didn't pay the full amount they asked for I think I paid 10%.

Hey Jim
Not trying to teach grandma how to suck eggs, but you might find that Barclays rate of exchange is a bit heavy in their favour, once the money is in your bank, you could call Currencies Direct, they did not have fees for transfer last time I used them and their exchange rates are very good. I used them in my business for 24 years so they are well established, they are reliable.
its over 5k sterling so you might get business exchange rates..

yodeli How is "Max" and yourself getting on?
Hi!
A lot to do/think of with the move, and still working with the babies and the stadium . Childminding : will stop on the 10th of May.
Stadium :The Bureau and I have started the papers for a "rupture conventionnelle" which means that we agree on me leaving. they don't really fire me, and I don't really resign. It's a compromise of both, which assures me to be on unemployement allowances, as I have 3 years to go to be able to retire (67)
These allowances will come in addition with the ones I will have from childminding... And of course, it's a lot to cope with, so.... as you can imagine I am very tired. That's for me! Thanks to ask!

As for Max :
Appointement is on 22sd of April, and he will stay a fortnight with the welder's team : chassis BAM but also a direction triangle, which was on the "major problems" list along with what google called " underbody" if it makes sense to you??
Hopefully there will be some money left to do the injectors which are the reason why Max didn't pass the MOT Pollution part.

Max won't have any problem left and he told me to say thank you on his behalf.... I just hope he's not going to feel so young he can jump over a river.... or worse, fall in love with a lady Hymer or Eriba even, and let me down!!! ;)

Love this for you Frankie! Karma being demonstrated for all you do for others, I’m so glad you’re going to be able to get Max fixed.

Hopefully we will be able to meet up again once you’re out and about for a good natter and a glass of wine or two 😊
