Hope you have a great time Lenny and of course Mia for keeping you in check!

Very interested to hear about the experience of swapping the Alugas bottles at the factory. Have you let them get near empty in preparation?
We’ll be in the same situation in a couple of years and it does feel a bit irksome that there isn’t a part ex price, as opposed to just buying new ones.

They have now outsourced it to another company just down the road from the factory. I think they only do exchange now €220 compared to €370 (UK price £370) for buying one without exchange. Not such a good saving if you have 11kg bottles as still the same price.
They charge €21.50 for fitting them so I'll let them do it, not worth messing about for a few quid.

That weren't choppy it was evil, calmed down a bit now..
It was very quiet on the boat on the way in yesterday and a bit messy in the loos apparently. Looked for you in the queue but maybe you weren't there when we came off. Have a great trip.

Got to the port at 4:15 boat already unloaded. Boat was empty a few lorries and Motorhomes & ½ doz cars.

We were first off, camped down at Belleville-sur-Mer, 15 min after driving off the boat.

Have a good trip we like German thermal spas it's the only temperature I can swim in

Great start to the trip, Air suspension packed up.
When setting ride height (I always keep it on the drive in the lowered position) took ages to get to ride height and didn't quite get there, had a look and looked OK for driving so we set off.

After a mile or so it locked it's self in service mode anyway we carried on thinking we can call in on the guy who installed it in Belgium.
It was a bouncy choppy ride to Newhaven.

As we approached the port I thought when it was trying to level I didn't remember hearing the compressor running. Me thinks this could be expensive or it could be just a fuse.

In the queue at the port I popped the bonnet took the cover off the waterproof fuse holder for the fuse that feeds the compressor.

Fuse and fuse holder were melted, took a fair bit of effort to extract the fuse. Not impressed 40 amp standard blade fuse.

Anyway I know the compressor takes 30 amps and largest fuse I had was 30 amps manage to force a fuse into the burnt & chard holder.

Volla Air suspension working. :dance2:

Will pick up some 40 amp fuses tomorrow and fit a new fuse hold when we get home.
Why did the fuse melt..???

Have fun.. look forward to hearing about your travels, quite fancy Germany at some point!
