But the traction control is all to do with the braking system.

Bearing in mind we are on mountain roads with lots of steep hills so I'm not in the best state of mind..
2 miles down the road the road is barricaded and closed with no prior warning.
It's a single carriageway road with armco on one side a bank on the other, and we are on hill.
How the feck are we supposed to turn round. Luckily there is a track on our right but its very steep, I put the suspension on high and did a twenty point turn. Except Mijhan is watching the back but while she is watching one side the other side grounds out. Not too bad scraped a garage floor support (not the first time) it's GRP so easy repair and skuffed the bottom of the rear light housing.
Managed to turn round but complete bag of nerves now.

Weather wasn't that bad it cleared up after an hour but not a place either of us would ever want to visit again.

Our view entirely. We went there on the bus from Albir, had a walk round, couldn't wait to get back on the bus - and I'm a Northerner !

Obviously I’m not there so I don’t know how steep it is but I would have thought the van would have gone up there in the dry with ease in first or second gear especially with grippy winter tyres on

It normally would when it's not playing up, it was very steep you can see me climbing above the cars.
With the Comfomatic you can only start off in first even in manual mode.

Our Comfortmatic lets us start in 2nd in manual mode - you still don't go anywhere but just get stuck more slowly

I tried putting it in 2nd hopping it would fool the Traction control it just went straight back to first. Mine is 2017.

If you had access to MES then this procedure cured all my Comfortmatic 'gear not available' & limp mode stresses about 5k ago
