Lovely little Aire just outside the lot region, little village with shops and bar but also on cycle path that goes in several directions including into Sarlat.
And it’s free 😂😂
With the 3 routes on the voie verte thread.

Sarlat was a great ride. And we like Grolejac aire a lot. Can swim in the dordogne under the bridge (disused railway one) about 800 m away.

The Aire by the river is nicer & free but I ly about 6 spaces we got one last time, the car park was full of old wrecks.
Just left Cahors today. 3 spaces at the Aire ( all full) and about 30 vans in the nearby carpark. We has a nice visit but for our overnight stay we have headed East along the Lot. Bit cloudy bit nice and warm. Rain forecast, but we're heading back towards Dieppe anyway.

If you ate some of those fray bentos pies stashed in the larder cupboard that will reduce your payload 😆😆
Only use them for wheel chocks.🤣

My cooking must be an embarrassment to you. 🤣

What was the name of that delicious French cheese you had at Hereford?

Great place , you can hire a canoe 100 yards away at the bridge
And travel down water a couple of miles then get picked up and returned at start point
This was our neighbour when we were there

I agree with Lenny, I resent every penny of the cost of full air. But wouldn't be without it now. The boss thinks it's fantastic and worth every penny.
So, WIN, WIN (y) She loves the Lithium ⚡and the new wheels and tyres as well. So I must be doing something right.
Have a great trip Lenny. ☀️☀️🍷🥃

I'm sorry I've no idea. Unless it was a camabert type with a blue cheese centre and if it was morbier cheese.

Was thinking about spending a few days in the Lot as we always drive through it not visited it for over 30 years, Portugal is out due to the fires.
Post #220 onwards on this thread covers what I thought were the best bits of the Lot when we drove it from end to end. There's an aire at St Cirq Lapopie. We intended to visit it on this trip but missed by a hundred kilometres or so as we headed south!

That's daft, He could easily have waited 5 seconds to let you out. That's the :france: for you.
Yep, he stopped and then carried on and I had at least 3 cars behind me.
