Lenny's Heading South, not a Clue Where.

Greece is on our list for the future so it would be extremely helpful if you could go next year a sort a route with suitable aires out for us. 😂👍
There is a link to my previous trip in my signature, only a short thread it was when I first started doing them.

A summary, 3 Countries, 3,350 miles, 24.5mpg (computer says 25.2), Ad Blue approx 5.8Lt/1000 miles.
MPG a lot lower than expected but the van goes well, I did try it in ECO mode a few times but never lasted more than 20 min, it was horrible.

Nice one. It's gratifying to read of a first trip in a brand new van without any teething troubles.

Great trip uncle Lenny HB bit grey at times but that’s france for ya!!
Mpg?? 😳😳😳 I got more than that going to Croatia and back (27.9) and spending a bit of time up and down all the alps except the French alps
I also used less adblu😉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Was your route through France toll free, would be interesting as an option for way home. On way here we came by Bordeaux, no issues with the route just nice to have options.

That was a good first run. Im surprised you only got those miles to the gallon our sprinter auto T149 is 4250kg and does 27.6 according to the screen, perhaps your improve

As I understand it the mpg improves once new engines have 'loosened up'.

On the way back we spent a few Euro from Irun to Barritz as the coast road is village after village with 30kph limits. The A20 is our main route down through France, about 50 miles further than using the N10 but a much nicer drive with nowhere near as many lorries.

A another nice route across the Pyrenees is the N135 from Pamplona.

Joking apart it’s what I’ll be likely doing in the future, my arms are officially knackerd and this will be the last time I do it as my shoulders are killing now, I will just have to pay someone to do it in future… and that in itself hurts just the same…😒

Mind you I’ve said that before….🤔
Next time you have a two month lodger just get him to do it for you!

Firstly we hope Mi’s mum is ok, secondly glad you’re home safely, thirdly did you get all the gravy stains out🤷‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lastly please go somewhere else other than France/Spain it’s been beaten to death, it’d be nice to follow you on a trip with some Blummin colour in the pictures😉🤣🤣🤣👍👍
Or people!!

I don't know what the ECO button does, the manual is kind of cryptic there.

Eco changes up gears sooner and holds high gears longer makes it sluggish to drive.
Power button holds lower gears longer so it accelerates quicker and climbs hills better also gives more engine braking when descending.

hi so you used nearly 6ltrs of adblue over 1000 miles? ,I'm on my first AdBlue van ,and its done 1000 miles, i thought it would use less than that ,,do you just keep topping it up? or do you have to get a warning to add more ,,?

You get a warning when it's about half full on the Fiat (at least me and Lenny do)

The gauge is naff shows 25% increments on a dial so not very accurate, a yellow warning light comes on at 50 % and every time you turn the ignition on you get a warning message saying add blue is low.

Looking at the thread on ad blue usage mine seems quite low.
