Lenny's Heading for Germany

I hope you recover quickly and you get back to blighty where you can recuperate in your own home.👍
Its interesting to hear that hospital food is also shyte in Germany.

Just across the road from the Aire, go down the footpath beside the camp site.

There is a road side aire just about between the last letter of Naturelle and the first letter of Les Dunes D'Oye on the map. it is divided into two parts, the left hand part as you look at this map is for motorhomes and the further part is for buses, Very clearly marked and if you cross the road seawards there is an entrance to the Reserve. We have used it several times in the last few years. Very quiet road and we have never been pestered by anyone. No services of any sort, just a stopping place and wide enough not to be rocked by passing vehicles. The Google symbol for street viewing is on the spot

Well done her, my OH insists it is impossible for her to empty the cassette

Just the other cassette to empty now? ;)

Rita has never emptied a toilet, in 31 x years of camping. :( Even when recovering from a double spiral break in my lower left leg, I had to empty the cassette, although she did carry it to the Elsan point for me, while I hobbled behind her on crutches.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

One winter in Spain we came off the scooter and I had a few cuts and bruises and broke two or three ribs, Janie had to do all the services, it caused me a lot of pain laughing everytime I said the cassette needs emptying. 😁 Bob.

Think they might mean a blockage in the bile duct which is, I believe, a fairly common side effect of gall stones.
This is what happened to me and it knocked the crap out of me. I had all the drugs first and then released from hospital once the infection was under control then called back a short time later for the opp. I guess there must have been a waiting list for the opp or just waiting for a free spot in the operating theater. It took two hours when I was under the knife according to the surgeon and my gal bladder was in a shocking condition.

My circumstances were similar I was bad ( apparently normal blood amylase levels are in the very low hundreds mine were over 10K ,) the duct was blocked and the old pancreas did not like it one bit.

in for a week while they got it under control then took me several weeks to get back to normal I was poleaxed. the surgery some month later was a dawdle in comparisson.

take it steady Lenny HB make sure you get lots of TLC :giggle:

What a shitty yesterday.

Hardly had any sleep for nearly a week so about 3;30am I ask for a sleeping pill. Big mistake didn't help with sleep but made me feel like shit until mid morning. No brekies not that I would have eaten it because I was going for examinations. Get the usual drips in me so I thought.
Got the squitters a couple of times and a couple of wet farts in the bed.

Then they took me down for an MRI scan guy said it's the longest scan they do about 22 min.
Got back up to my room then shortly after take me back down for Eduroscope inspection. Getting loads of stuff ready this no look good. The way they had me laying on my wound was painful, then she said do you want to go to sleep "yes please".
Next thing I wake up on a nice clean bed, sore throat, crusty bloody nose & a warm glowing anus, you have heard of triple lock I think I got triple spike, they had been in all three ways.
Then it clicked barsteds one of those drips was to clear me out, they could have told me.

Anyway feeling a lot better today.

Not sure there is a suitable emoji for that, glad you are feeling better.

Seems very extensive treatment for a gall bladder removal Lenny
Have they told you what they’re looking for with the endoscopy and the MRI?

I reckon they are just making the most of it as the insurers will be paying.

When I was in the krankenhaus with injured knees they wanted to operate, but my local friend advised against letting them for this reason. Just got them to plaster me up (both legs) and fly me home ... English hospital said no need to operate which proved correct.

Probably his wallet as his EHIC is out of date!

Just had a chat with the surgeon, my gallbladder had ruptured and there was one small stone left in a tract to it, they got that out yesterday.
Been told to get up walk about, drink & eat as much as I like, getting out tomorrow.

Wow,that is good news. Take it easy though, your body has been through it,and you’ll feel a bit week I guess.

The MRI was because blood tests were showing problems with the liver, that found the stone. The following procedures got it out.

Great stuff Lenny. :) I am really pleased for you and Linda (y)

Any indications from the medical team yet, as to when you'll be able to get behind the wheel again?

Best wishes,

Jock. :)
