leaky loo, found out the cause ?

Ok so, is not that running leisure battery down, sorry T,I'm so scared of being without power n heating again.
It's awful up here too
Not, when driving

And when parked, very very little from.your leisure. You'll be fine especially after that drive.

Don't forget that 10 minute engine start we did put in 12 amps to your leisure......that will do 100 speakers.

I used to be wary of using an inverter, I thought it would drain the battery too much. But as it turns out, it's not so bad if you remember to turn it off.

Windermere is a great place for inspiration and relaxation. Hopefully your laptop will come back to life to record all the experiences
It has yeahhh

So ok with lights on? Sorry making sure I've got IT RIGHT, not sure of voltage of these bulbs, as some one said it might drain?

I should have checked what bulbs you had, but no you'll be fine with lights, speakers, tv and heater after the drive that battery will be full..

What year is the van, it seemed quite new. They could be led anyway

Check it's showing 12.6 on the volts. (It will be 12.8 but show a little less)

Did your heating work OK last night ? You were showing 12.4 when I left.

Can anyone give Caroline a good recommend of an eco flow delta or something, she would benefit massivly with one of these..

I seen someone say there was a discount somewhere.

Screenshot_20241231-161558.webpWe harvest as much energy during the day if it's sunny, so everything gets charged. Our TV holds 3hrs charge also.

Looking at that I'd say it's a 6kg

Bugger, just realised that's tombolas bottle

Been loving reading about your adventures. Well done for doing something outside your comfort zone.
And don’t be afraid of appearing a numpty, I bet most people on here have done something a bit dumb at some time.
When our gas cylinder ran out the first time, and my wife asked if I’d got a spanner to change the cylinder, I looked at her with contempt.
I’m an engineer who has spent the last 50 plus years designing things, making things, taking things apart and repairing them. I think I can manage to change a gas cylinder!
It turned out the adjustable spanner I’d got did not open QUITE wide enough to fit the nut. Oops. I had to sheepishly ask the MH next door if I could borrow their spanner.

Just one suggestion: unless you want to be forever thought of as Leaky Loo Caroline, perhaps you should start a new thread for your adventures with a different title 🙂
Happy New Year 🥂🍾🍷

Tombola you are a star of the greatest magnitude.

sweet caroline all the "issues" you have experienced are actually quite normal for anyone (male / female / other) tackling a vast array of new, unfamiliar and complex machinery for the first time. Let's face it why should anyone realise an inverter will draw power just by being switched on? Unless you have a background in physics or engineering it's far from obvious.

Although no longer a motorhome owner I remain a member here because of the kindness I have been shown and because as a member I can offer a serviced free park up for a night to anyone who wishes to make use of the facilities.

What goes round comes round and if I can help anyone then I will do and hope that any favour / help I can do will be passed on in turn. I won't give money to a beggar but I would buy him/her a drink and food for example. I wouldn't possibly fund a drug habit but would try to prevent dehydration or starvation.

That might not be much of a religion but it is my life code.

Have a great night Caroline.
Hankered down after Graham Norton,in thePArk4Nite, freebie right by the lake, GLEBE ROAD< with other campers, BRILLIANT PARKUP. I really need to empty my cassette now after 5 days off riding, and I nowhave one bar of water left. But due to the storms and the gales here, all the sites are flooded out. So back on the road tomorrow en route to Maryport. But stopping off on 3 other lakes, and doing park4night again! So plenty of bottle waters for cuppas, but the one bar, is only enough now for one more shower, if I am lucky, so 5th I'm booked for two days, on Maryport marina, and I cant wait ! hahah Hope you and Sharon are not too hung over either hahh

Ha, brilliant, you've had a great experience and roughed it a bit ;) . Check your gas too when you get chance, I opened them both didnt I when checking the auto valve didnt I....maybe wise to close one so you know you have one left when the other runs out.
TBh me and Sharon bedded down too after Graham Norton sober lol.

Seeing as you are heading to Maryport, if you do happen to come back down the M6, past manchester on the way home our business is right near J7 m62 between Lpool and Manchester if you need anything.

Just a stop off. I'm now a W pass on a lane with about 68 other motorhomes. Safety in numbers. Alot of vanlifers sad stories. But RUBBISH IS EMBARRASSING. So I'm.litter picking in morning n hoping others will too! Disgracefully gives us law abiding mhs a bad name grrrrrr. Some are emptying their Waste! Grrrrrrrr double grrrrrr
Such a pity re the rubbish and worse. We've stayed there many times over the past few years and we've never seen anything like that. It's a fab place worth the Blue John mines, walks and Castleton. It's great to read your stories!

Yeh, i love the trigger shower, My wife likes showers  and thinks water falls out the sky..
So where do you think water comes from? She's right,
just left out the bit where you get it from the sky into the tanks.
