Ok I’m watching it like a hawkAfter 3.45v it will raise fast. If bms cuts out, means your charger has CV to high set. And has no time to absorb or balance.

Forget the percentage, work on voltage until full and re sets. 3.45v can be 95-99% charged depending on the rate of charge. At what percentage should it get to for the cells to be 3.45? We are at 98 percent and 2 cells are at 3.40 one has been at 3.39 for the last 20 mins and one is fluctuating between 3.39 and 3.40
Edit all 4 cells at 3.40 now
Cool, 30ma difference not bad but not great. It will improve if you do few cycles to full, without dipping below 12v. Now you should be able to discharge at-least 120ah and still be 20% charged. If you can’t discharge this much out of 150ah total, then you have a problem. So we are now at 100 percent, 3 cells are at 3.61 and one cell 3.58 and it’s still charging at 0.39a
The cycle count is really excessive if that's correct 7836 I think you have a problem with the BMS something ain't right with that.So its just stopped charging now. Heres the 3 screenshotsView attachment 752624View attachment 752625View attachment 752626
Did it ever read lower? Could it be a count down?Yeah it just jumped up it should read about 36 cycles
I would question and put pressure on the manufacturer/ seller, that’s plain wrong. You can’t do more that one cycle a day, maybe occasional 2 cycles. But not every day you do full cycle. The settings needs looking at.Yes I’ve watch it go up from zero cycles over months
When I check my cell-to-cell voltages, once settled, they are within 3-4mV high to low and the SOC reported is 99%-100%.If it’s been partially cycled, it can be unbalanced. One cell will dictate capacity. Op here complains about SOC.
What is going one with the "cycle life"???The cell count was at 35 and 22mins later it had gone waaaay upView attachment 752655View attachment 752656

That is the App, not the BMS I think. a Generic app for 4-16 cells.Very strange bms. It’s a 16cell used on a 4cell pack.
Yes agree, I have two 16cell packs that stay within 2-5mv difference, we’ll balanced with active balance and jk bms. When I check my cell-to-cell voltages, once settled, they are within 3-4mV high to low and the SOC reported is 99%-100%.
can't talk about the KS Energy battery as not got one of those
Sandra / Alan I would send it away on your return it's not right get them to sort it whilst still in warranty bit of a pain but needs must, let us know what they report back please. Thanks for your help everyone, will see how it performs on the way home this week but I don’t hold out hope for any change, would love to be wrong though.
Dave, I mentioned to Alan earlier about the cycle count, there’s no way it can have done anywhere near that. The battery has only been installed a year ago and the van doesn’t get used every week.
One possibility is maybe an intermittent connection inside the battery, in the BMS. It could switch on and off a few hundred times, and the firmware might register that as a zero to 100% cycleThe 35 cycles it’s credible and close to the truth, the other number is wild, takes may years to achieve that, if even possible.
sent back for diag KSE say bluetooth software corrupt. warranty only one year on this ,so £150 +vat to repairlet us know what they report back please.
sent back for diag KSE say bluetooth software corrupt. warranty only one year on this ,so £150 +vat to repair
I'm not happy and have e'mailed them to reconsider as only done 36 cycles
where in there sales blurb does it tell you 12month warranty ??
You aswell ?sent back for diag KSE say bluetooth software corrupt. warranty only one year on this ,so £150 +vat to repair

KS ENERGY BATTERY UPDATE & WARRANTY
As some of you will know, Alan recently had problems with his KS energy battery, and in particular the app showing 60 odd percent one minute then battery went flat the next and vice versa. Alan sent it back to KS energy for the battery to be tested. Its just been tested and below is his reply...www.motorhomefun.co.uk
And wreck the warranty?I would just open it up, and fit a jk bms with active balance, cost 95quid, and you are in control of all settings.
What warrantyAnd wreck the warranty?
Oh, yeah. I see your point lol. sorry
