Just an update on where we are going.

When you get here it asks how long you want to stay then tells you how much, you stick your credit card in and it takes the amount, job done but now we have got in without paying and shouldn't be anything on the card ,I don't know how we get out again, we will see in the morning.
Go to the machine. You can stick your card in and find out what your balance is. If you haven't got enough to get out, just top it up, using your credit card.
We only ever put enough on the card to cover the current stay. I can"t see the point in keeping it loaded.
It doesn't take the money off the card when you enter, but the barrier won't open for you to get out, if you haven't got enough on it.

So when does it take the money? In the few seconds between pressing the exit button and the barrier opening?

What if there is a glitch in their computer system- are you stuck?

We had a problem buying their card at an entry machine and even with the help of a nice frenchman and talking to their helpdesk they could not issue it. I assume they did not like a Polish Debit card.

Never been near them since.

When you leave you hold the card up against a card reader and the barrier rises and the time you leave is logged by the system, the money is not debited from the card immediately incase you return, I can't remember exactly how long it takes before the card is debited probably at the end of the period already payed for.

Woke up this morning to cold in the van, condensation on the windows, first time in twenty days, must be getting closer to home :( sun just appearing so probably get better but it looks like jeans and jumper are going to have to be broken out this morning, still we have done very well up to yet, not a sign of a wet day just odd showers in the night.

Heating on in Jaca today for us, and looks like trousers for the 1st time since May. Going to go to the aire in the mountain today. https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/marker.php?id=5445

Heating on in Manzanal de Arriba this morning, 4c.

Do you get a card with CCP when you register?, if so I must have mislaid mine, I have the app telling me there’s €10 euro on it, but how does the machine know who you are without a card.
update, I’ve just checked website so I’m now hunting for my card.🤣

Look what you are missing using the Map to plot your CCP stays.

Well strange thing , this morning we came to get out , it says not enough funds, and actually there is a tenner on it aparrently so Julie goes to put in a couple of quid and it took a tenner again must be a minimum, so we got out ok and we now have eight quid in.

I always put on the exact amount to get out, never had that problem.

Yeah but at the castlenaudre one it took the money then said we couldn't go in, so it must still be in there even though nothing we have on line says we have.

If we do in fact change the plan and come again next year , I am going to use them and get everything working on electric but still have gas backup, the price of gas it's going to be a big item, and we might as well squeeze every penny out of these things, they are just going to take over in a couple of years.
But then they will not be a tenner but I will definitely be done then.

But in fact we had ten in so only needed two something to get out but still took a tenner.
chaser Looks like a tenner is the minimum on the app, I’ve never used one yet so I don’t know how the machine works.

Tonight we are here, only ones, filling and emptying completely free nicely set out ,shade or not , butchers and bakers about 20 yards up the road, in fact I wouldn't be surprised to see it taken over next year, plenty scope for expansion.
But at the moment, brilliant.

Free? so is it the municipality that takes care of the upkeep?

Suppose so but not a lot of upkeep ,hole in the ground two taps on a post all the rest just looks after itself. It looks as if it could be the village recreation ground, when needed petang pitches ,a netball thing but no-one useing them.

As far as I understand, CCP is just a management company which runs the aires in conjunction with and on behalf of the municipalities. The aires do not actually belong to them.

What are the Orange ones and the Blue ones please.
They use 4 colours. Blue are aires, orange are campsites with toilet blocks which are open in the high season to cater for those in tents and caravans but they are open all year for MHs. Green are service points only, dump stations if you like. The pale violet once are not open yet but are in the process of being taken over and will open in the future.

Last night we pitched on one of Julie's friends lawn and had a meal with them but today we have had a bit of a miserable one, we are heading for limousin and decided to stop at one of those village etap things you see signs for on the road anyway we got there , shut, everything was bloody shut.
So we have traveled on to this CCP , walked about a mile into the village, shut, bloody shut.
I don't mean one or two ,the lot.
So we are back in the van now and Julie is cooking.
If there was anything going on this wouldn't be a bad stop .
