Rally Chat Jurassic Fields Festival & Seaside Meet, Highlands End Park, Bridport 12-16 July 2018

Looks like we won't be coming now. We are in the middle of moving house and have hit a couple of hiccups - real shame, needed a bit of R&R and good company
That's a shame - good luck with your house move & maybe see you another time.

Have just started a group chat for all those attending this Meet :hi:
We are loading the motorhome now so safe travels & see you there!
Don't forget arrivals from 1pm instead of 3pm are agreed so you can make the most of your stay.

Should be there about lunchtime which will give enough time to erect barricades to ward off thirsty Popeyes :D

Have had a lovely evening in the bar - thank you to everyone for joining us
Enjoyed a scenic walk to West Bay in the sunshine today - wonderful views in all directions - will try & add some photos soon in case anyone might be considering this one for next year

It was lovely to meet so many new people plus a few regulars last night. Looking forward to our son Matthew and his girlfriend Coral arriving later for a couple of nights. No ginger jokes until after they go please, we have heard them all in the last 25 years!

Hi - glad you enjoyed it - the Reception has maps & we can give you tips on the routes. Perhaps post on the group PM with regards to joining up with others? Have just posted on there with info. about tonights taxi share (y)

Found this old fossil yesterday. It doesn’t look like @rangitira or @Popeye so my best guess is some sort of tubeworm. The stone looks a lot older than the usual Cretaceous period so a gues would be Jurassic. Any fossil experts out there? Whatever it is seems to wind around in a circle (picture shows same one on both sides of stone) and is about 8” long plus a couple of other bits

Cheers....

Jurassic Fields Festival was well run last night & some good acts (y)
It's already started again today but will have a look around the street market & Bridport town today as well as popping in & out of the Festival but will be there for all the major acts tonight :dance2:

It really was great fun, thank you so much much @Wombles for spotting it and making my lovely boy and his girlfriend so welcome. Also Ginny @Ginster who can floss!! Looking forward to more later, having a rest at the moment as walking to Seatown and back before walking to the festival wasn’t one of my better ideas.

Had a lovely day yesterday in the town & Festival & was great to see everyone enjoying themselves :dance2: Sure the beaches will be busy today but can't resist plus a coast walk & a cream tea :inlove:
We will be back & gathering in the campsite bar from 8pm onwards :hi: so would be good to catch up then - everyone welcome .

Glad you have enjoyed it - think the weather helped a lot! If we don't see you before - have a safe journey & will let you know if/when for next year.

I can only echo the above from Mike and Toni @Nana - had a great time and it was good good to meet new and old friends. Especially a pleasure to see the old sea dog @rangitira and Maureen on such good form.

Sincere thanks to @Wombles Alan and Karen for the organisation- everybody enjoyed it

Thank you Karen and Alan @Wombles for organising such a great weekend. We had such fun and met so many lovely new people. Sorry @Nana but I've managed to get two loads of washing dry! Mind you I think the rain is due to arrive in time for my drive to Bristol airport so I shouldn't feel too smug.

Good to meet up with some old funsters and some new, saw @Popeye first of all looked as though he was trying to nick a couple of bicycles and Jackie was trying to stop him!

Anyway many thanks to the @Wombles twas good to finally meet you "Ace Rally.Org"(y)
Dave and Alison @DuxDeluxe the old fossil;)

And apologies to anyone else, it takes me a while to recognise faces(n) the second time.
