Rally Chat Jurassic Fields Festival & Seaside Meet, Highlands End Park, Bridport 12-16 July 2018

Festival tickets have now gone up to £17.50-£30 each & like other festivals will keep increasing as we get nearer to the time & more acts are announced so don't leave it too long to book to get best value.

5 more acts added today including a comedian - looking at the range of music looks like there should be something for everyone (y)

Looks great hope it goes well guys, already booked cider and skittles though, maybe next year!

Must keep up.

Jurassic Field Festival tickets are still very reasonably priced at £30 each but a bargain if you are 60+ at just £17.50 (y) Get them before they go up as prices increase nearer to the Festival date.
You don't have to go to the Festival to join this Meet as so much to do anyway (see first post on page 1 for suggestions) but it does look good :)

As some considering booking have asked me to double check if the Quest mesh screen houses might be acceptable I contacted their bookings team about this giving a link to show what the screen houses are like & this is their reply:
"If it is instead of an awning that would be fine as long as it does not encroach onto someone else’s pitch and is immediately adjacent to the unit. The winds are quite strong at Highlands so it would need to be fastened down and if it did blow away please remind campers that it is at their own risk and may damage other people’s units? That’s the main reason we do not allow gazebos/event shelters as they tend to blow away."
So hopefully that helps those considering booking & those already coming along :)

Have contacted Martins Restaurant (at Highlands) to see if they might be able offer us a tempting good value set menu for a possible group meal on the Sunday evening. Will update on the thread once we know what's possible then see if there is enough interest.

On Saturday night Doctor & The Medics (Spirit In The Sky) are also performing - recent video made for Jurassic Fields:

The food is very good and the portions generous, in previous years anyway.

That's good - that also reminded me to chase them as no reply yet to my email.

Times for the acts at Jurassic Fields Festival on Friday & Saturday - so we can make sure we are there for our favourite ones! :dance2:

If anyone else wants to join us at Highlands End or staying in the Festival camping area then please let us know :hi:

For anyone already booked in or considering this one travelling from the North there is now the option of staying a night or two at the Cider & Skittles Rally at Weston Super Mare (rural location not far off M5 & great value at £9 a night (y) ) https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...0th-17th-july-2018.167456/page-6#post-2871284 before then there's the Upton Blues Meet https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...-available-message-now-for-your-space.157555/ on the way back up :)

We were looking into a possible group (set menu option) meal on Sunday evening but now we may have to leave early as have to get back to sort things at home & repack to marshal Upton Blues Meet. Anyone interested could still gather in the bar for a meal or just a drink so can still get together :)

Hi All, I arrived here on Saturday as part of my annual holiday, I'm on pitch 11 which is grass, we have a whole row reserved for us, with 4 units to a bay, not sure if anyone else is here yet, but the weather has and is glorious! Pop round and say hello when you get here, got my Funster sticker in the front window!

Looks like we won't be coming now. We are in the middle of moving house and have hit a couple of hiccups - real shame, needed a bit of R&R and good company

We shall arrive on Thursday, weather is looking good, looking forward to an enjoyable weekend.
