We need to put an awning rail on the van, will anyone have a pair of steps so we can hold both ends at once?

Ok someone has to ask.... how do you know the light stays on when the door is closed please...?

Well, the fridge is too small to fit me inside to check and on closing the door you have to be quick to see the light come on before the door closes, SoH. I just put a magnet on the fridge side of the switch to represent the door closing,with the door thenopen to see the light -as it were.

I will have steps and a ladder and I also have some non setting mastic, I can also hold one end or supervise somebody else's holding.

Hi, sorry don't think we are not going to make it to the meet, we were returning home yesterday on the M6 and while broken down on the hard shoulder we were hit by an HGV truck, a lot of damage was done, don't know when we will be mobile again.

So sorry to read this, motorway hard shoulders scary enough anyway and sounds as though you had dreadful experience - but main thing is hope you are okay yourselves - however sad vans can be repaired/replaced, people can't. Best of luck getting mobile again as soon as possible. Sue

Hi I'm hoping to tackle leak/draught round my back door if anyone has experience of venerable 24yr old motorhomes! Planning to go to O'Learys at Beverley on the way if anyone needs anything picking up from there. Will also be bringing steps & happy to help anyone out if I can. Sue

If not, depending how much power you need there will be people with inverters, including us.

You can borrow them no probs but it's a bit of a jump from the top of the ladder to the roof, perfect for holding awning rails though.

Might take all weekend. Gas struts and cables in the seat mechanism, not sure about the rest, starting to look like a busy weekend.
