Ive joined the bus wa*&^rs .....

Mine was declined about 2 years ago in London , maybe just unlucky with a jobsworth bus driver.
I don't know why? From the TFL site:
You can use an English National Concessionary Pass on London buses from 09:00, Monday to Friday. You can use the pass anytime on weekends and bank holidays.

All wheelchair and mobility scooter users travel free on buses and trams. To find out if your scooter is suitable for travel, contact our travel mentoring service.

Companions and carers will have to pay for their travel.
I know it excludes any 'Express' buses and Nightbus services, but I have never been refused when using normal services in Greater London.

We have about a mile walk to pick up one of the three buses a day. I have relatively recently discovered that one bus in each direction a day runs on a different route and conveniently comes right through the village meaning a 200yard walk - but it does not stop from the point that it departs the normal route by the nearest stop as above and when it rejoins it nearly two miles in the other direction. The bus saves about 1.5miles but we can't get on or off apart from at points along the normal route! So it upsets the two villages it has avoided, plus us. Then they wonder why the bus usually runs empty for the last 5 miles of the route. 😥

Use ours all the time, normally quicker to get the bus than take the car to Worthing or Brighton and obviously a lot cheaper. Buses run every 12min, during the day and 20 min in the evening. Can't use bus pass on the night bus as it's classed as a special service not that I want to be coming home at 4am.
Bus Passes are valid until 23.30 aren't they?

They are where I live. 🤔

So many variations amongst local authorities. Always best to check lo check locally to the area you are in, but be aware some LA's give extra concessions for their residents that are not available for visitors.

I sent off for my bus pass recently and now its arrived - i can be a bus wa$%£r now (The Inbetweeners .... )

does anyone actually use theirs, SWMS has refused to point blank to get on a bus with me .... she might change her tune in 3 years time though ......
Sorry if you feel that way Why bother.

And yes we use ours. Bit of a saver after a long walk from our pitch
