Its not Motorhomes I dislike its the people contained within them.

In that case you are a victim of the abuse carried out by others, and I feel sad for you. However as in my earlier postings on this subject I am in no way surprised, because 10 or more years ago it was becoming obvious that this would happen. It will get worse, SAD but true. "Wild" campers will become (in the eyes of "Authority") like the "Itinerants".

P.s When it gets posted it will not be "P***ys", because that is considered non P_C!.:whistle::whistle::whistle:
Im afraid they will never stop wild camping
It will just create more stealth vans ...seriously considering it for my next van

Well .... You know how the coin meter allows more time than the washing machine programme? Well ... a couple of a certain nation were standing looking at the stopped machine (programme finished). There was a queue of bags and the person with the washing next in line was waiting to start his wash. He asked them to empty the machine but they refused 'cos they still had 15 minutes on the timer "that they'd paid for" and the next person would get their time!!!

Of course words were exchanged!

Can you believe it!!!
Well.... Knowing the party involved.... Yes I can believe it...!!!!!!

And some of this about to change, for the good of motorhoming in general, and the good of Spain.
Well, I just read through 130 odd posts wondering if someone had questioned what this bit of the OP means - but I haven't found anything. Can someone help me please?

I think it means that the authorities are about to take matters in hand and get the parking/camping situation sorted.

It appears that the problem of wild camping would be significantly reduced if tossers were more considerate about rubbish and sewage disposal and spent money in the area rather than gloating at their spendthrift ways and leaving cr@p behind.

Sadly. I believe that as usual, the time for that is well past. You can only prevent this happening. there is IMV no "cure".

The town I live in is invaded by small groups of travellers every few months. The council has spent thousands trying to stop them. Had these travellers not trashed each place they camped in and left tens (hundreds) of thousands of pounds worth of clearing up to be paid for by the settled community, they would have been tolerated more and had fewer issues looking for places to stay. It seems that some motorhomers are doing the same with the trouble they cause. I wonder how they would feel if travellers / FLT parked up near their homes and caused the same kind of issues.

Is that not the same with everything in life?.

Travel on a bus, people put their feet up on the seats.
Travel on a plane, people get too drunk.

I went to Sainsbury’s yesterday. As always, people parked in the pick up lay-by for hours, rather than the stated max of 5 mins.

Most people follow the rules within reason. It just takes the plonkers to pi55 ius all off.

Have to say the carpark I parked in outside cartagena for the last few nights looked like a bomb had hit it this morning. Saturday was obviously boy racer lets get our rocks off night. About 10 cars there last night and unlike the previous night they didn't give up at midnight they were there till 4am ....left a whole load of rubbish behind them ;(

I moved this morning

I'm now parked in the centre of town with about 6 other motorhomes

And watching the Santa semana band practice :)

No doubt motorhomers will get the blame, somebody has probably took a photo of your van whilst you were there and then another one after you have left, showing all the rubbish of course.

The rubbish was picked up this morning by yours truly.

Here's another truly fantastic example of entitlement.
I'm stood watching the local kids practice for the Santa semana parades....i got in just before they started parked the van and I'm out watching. There's 2 Dutch vans just pulled in to the carpark...not a blind bit of care paid to the fact there's kids marching up and down...one of them is doing a series of manouveres trying to squeeze in to the space between my van and the one next to it which is a little more than 10 feet wide.
The woman has been out several times trying to look in my van and admiring the 2 foot space on the other side of it. I'm assuming they are hoping I will move it over for them but as yet they have no idea it's my van as I'm stood ten feet away watching the kids practice. The other van is currently stopped in the middle of the carpark waiting for the first couple to park and then trying to think where they can abandon theirs.
Meanwhile they are holding up the kids practicing.

And I don't believe it a third van has now come in which I'm guessing is travelling with the other two as the women have rushed over arms flapping to see them so now there's two vans with hazard lights on sat in the middle of the carpark while 5 dutch people discuss loudly where they want to park.

The selfishness is unbelievable. ..and I'll tell you I aint moving my van for them.

Arrogant assholes

Go and ask that idiot parked on the pavement how you are supposed to get out if you need to.

As yet im still not letting on that's my van...
To be honest the behaviour of these 3 I don't want any of the locals knowing I'm in a motorhome...it's embarrassing.

From Jumar's original post about Totana Camperstop: "But know its spreading on to official camperstops, perhaps campsites, this I cannot clarify, we see on a daily basis visitors doing what they want, allowing their dogs to foul other visitors pitches. steeling electricity when they clearly stated no hook up, we are on solar, loud TV noise, hanging washing between trees when there are places provided, taking ALL the oranges from the basket instead of just one or two and leave some for others, no I will take them all, washing dog s**t off their shoe in the washing up sinks, s**t picked up on shoes not in bags. Their actions amaze me, why do people think they have the right to do whatever they want, when they know they cannot do it in their own country."

All I can say is that you ain't seen nothing yet, Martin. Pauline has just seen a Frenchman who's visiting some people in a French motorhome walk over to the fence by the bins and have a pee into the bushes. I know, I know, different nations, different cultures, but still . . . .

At the risk of backlash, I do not agree with wild camping in built up areas. If you park in a carpark overnight then you cannot expect space - even on some Aires in France I have been sardined in and only just had enough room to get out of my hab door. Recently here in Mojacar there have been 20 motorhome on the beach with folks bragging about staying for 8 days!! Where do they get their water, empty the grey and toilet? I have dogs and I had to keep them on leads as the free campers dogs were running everywhere unsupervised. Some say that it is to save money and are in very expensive vans! I am on my own and still have to pay ferry, diesel, tolls etc to get here, but expect to pay for camping. The guardia have moved them on.

Both dog and human mess, with tissues, is often found on the beach here.

When I leave the campsite for the day I keep my site booking slip with me to show I am not wild camping, but only parked.

We have been on a Cl once and that proper site we have been in the seven years we have had motorhomes, we go to dog shows most weekends and have 10 dogs with us, I think campsite managers would have a heart attack if we turned up, BUT, the difference is all dog poo at shows is picked up and disposed of responsibly,
View attachment 219441 we also fence off our pitch to ensure the dogs stay in our garden when they are outside. we pick up using poo bags which if tied up tightly do not emit any smell and can be put in a non recycling bin, there is no excuse for soiling other folks pitches or not picking up, perhaps is campsites asked people to leave the site the word would go round and it would help in changing peoples behavior. No doubt we would be refused entry at a rally weekend when we arrived with 10 dogs though !!! this was taken on a dog show venue where we stayed over after the show
I'm sure that your dogs are loved and cared for, and you clean up after them. but if i'm honest i would not camp within 1/2 mile of someone that has 10 dogs in tow. how do you get them all in the motorhome (n)(n)

It's the French culture alright, but in France, not on the camperstop in Totana, AND especially not next to Pauline  I'm surprised they got away intact
