It's Back, Christmas Shopping and Frolics!!! In Cheshire

Back home now, van unpacked and cleaned ready for the New Year.
 
Thanks to Paul, Nikki and all the funsters who make these meets so great. Sorry we had to leave early and miss the best dressed van competition. Would love to see pictures please!

Lovely site, spotless facilities, light pollution a major problem.:Wink:

Saturday we drove the van to Chester park and ride, 5 spaces with no height barrier, bus every 10 mins £2 each return. Result.

Sorry to bail early, my sniffles became a full blown cold, hope I haven't passed this on to anyone but if I have, see it as an early christmas pressie:thumb:

Enjoyed breakfast this morning, nice way to round the weekend off.

Moved north for a few days in Keswick, very wet and windy here.

Did he ask you all to go? I did hear something mentioned by Stuart earlier in the day but didn't take it seriously.

To be honest, I'm not very happy if that is the case and shall be writing to see what happened.

I don't expect to provide a campsite with 50 vans, fund the club house bar the cafeteria and the local taxi community to be treated like that. :Angry:

i could understand it if it was high season but there were no other arrivals throughout the day,.
 
We left about 1o'clock without any prompting. However when arrived we asked what time we had to leave and were told that mid-day would be fine but significantly later and we would have to pay an extra £5.
 
The tight wads!! And we were so conservative in our electrical useage..
 
I think it's because they saw the electric bill this morning :Laughing::Laughing:

Thank you for a good first timers weekend. It's along time ago that I last paid £1.34 for a pint in a pub, never been one for shopping, that was our Saturday afternoon sorted.
 
Sylvia and tony would like to thank paul and nicky for the crimbo camp we had a very nice time at a good site .
Funsters are all very sociable and very good company we had an excellent time . It would appear that my dazzling dress sense has finally been recognised voted worst dress at camp :Rofl1: thanks paul

Many thanks to Paul & Nicky, sorry we didn't get out on saturday and had to return home early today, Lucy (spud) felt poorly on fri and by sat she was much worse :Sad:. Hoping for better luck next year

Stuart asked this morning and was told to be off by midday and I think maybe word got around. Not a problem, the weekend was another Haganap Productions PLC success story:Smile:

What a disaster tonight . . . the bar was closed !!!!! :Eeek::Eeek::Eeek::Eeek: my plans for a farewell drink dashed, but shouldn't complain, had plenty on all the nights before, with excellent funster company as usual,

Paul and Nikki's superb organisational skills proved 100% again, and many thanks to you both for setting it all up

Is it really over?

Sadly so, and back to the real world we go!

As others have said, many thanks to Paul & Nikki for organising such an enjoyable event at such a great venue. Thanks to Amanda for her efforts in judging the van-dressing efforts: there were certainly some good efforts and congrats to TheTwoOfUs in your result.

We enjoyed it very much and will be back. Mrs Spenders was very impressed with the retail opportunities in both Chester and at the site itself; I've already had the summons from the bank manager for a serious chat!!

Big thank you to Ann & Mark (The Dude) for your company and assistance with the van dressing, and I promise we'll make up for the taxi fare Ann!
