Just been announced on radio Sheffield that the Woodhead is now closed to high sided vehicles. Plus it's now hissing it down. I have had to go out and sprag the fence before it blows over. It's looking increasingly likely that we won't be there until tomorrow. Sorry :cry:

Was all set to arrive later today but have decided to err on the side of caution and will now leave it till tomorrow . take care all you funsters who have more bottle than me see you tomorrow
 
IF the wind dies down well set off this afternoon, if not we leave in the morning its only 2 hrs or so away.
 
We are on M5 now, just passing Strensham services. it's REALLY windy. Might need a stiff drink when we get there ...(any excuse!). Sat nav has us arriving at 4.00pm. Ger

Stand down all those keeping a nervous eye out for us, we will be reversing into a plot near you tomorrow, just been packing up the van, it's so windy here, thought it was going to topple over. Good luck to all those on the roads today:thumb:
 
We've been packed and ready since 10 o'clock this morning but both the M1 and M18 are closed near to us so we have decided that discretion is the better part of valour and all that stuff so we will see you tomorrow.

Have eventually arrived at Frodsham . Wind bad in places but not as severe as some of you reporting. Traffic was awful - took us 5 hours instead of 2 and half. Lots of accidents on motorways out there. Wind here not too bad now, but don't think we'll put the Christmas lights up yet.
