So what happens in the jumar household when we are not travelling...well it's pretty much the same as most people..got a leaking tap in the kitchen...holiday weekend preventing purchase of new one... Toilet overflow ,overflows....and wakes us at night...just adjusted that...
New back tyre fitted on Judith's bike, new seat post fitted on mine and some jazzy new red grips to match the red pedals...shame as this is going to get competition as from tomorrow, New Bike day...got some different tyres to fit on it and sell the ones that it's got fitted.. personal preference..
A more user friendly monitor bracket fitted in MH...viewing position was not as we needed..
Cooked curry yesterday for todays visitor... haven't seen her for a while...lots to catch up on...no doubt...
Oh....and our weight controlling diet...that's holding fast...we both are below our proposed target...no Alcohol or Puddings etc...very pleased indeed...
Haven't been to bank yet...maybe Thursday will be a good day...can get English Tea bags nearby...so why not face the executioner..

Our good friend, Angéla from Albacete, is coming for lunch today. She doesn't eat meat and she's also the cat catcher, neuter, release expert in Alhama. Martin's prepared lunch. She's got the choice of tuna or salmon .

Actually we're having curry, because she loves spicy food, a fish curry and a chickpea curry. Not made with Catford pouches BTW!

Can you pronounce dogs in Spanish or does it come out as but? Started learning and having haven't got the rolling r at all.

Nine times out of ten I can roll the rrrrr's, Martin has no chance .

It's easier after some vowels than others for some reason.

jumartoo has just popped out to feed some of the community cats...
I'm in mini limbo waiting for an update on my new bike delivery, which should have been yesterday...transport company updated their delivery status a couple of days ago, stating "Out for delivery" yes sure it is...I had pre -arranged yesterday as the 0930hr to 1700hr slot...kept me home all day climbing walls.
Just for those who might know this from year past..we are having MNXNT42 for breakfast.

YT Decoy Core 4... we've had early Decoys before, done mega mileage..with no problems..
Our next door neighbour bought them and allow us to use them if we want...

Our last 6½ week trip we eat and drunk far more than we do at home don't do anything like the exercise you do and came home 3kg lighter.

Just thought I'd rub it in.

Went to do the cats that our Cat Lady normally feeds. It's supposed to give her a lay in. She'd forgotten she'd put me on the board for today and she was up. She was poo picking instead.

I also didn't start off well. I forgot my phone before I'd got too far so went back. I then got nearly all the way to where I was feeding and realised I didn't have the gate key. So ... I went back. That's when I met Caroline.

When I'd finished the feeding, I bumped into a fellow funster (Barrackslass) Irene. She was instrumental in us moving here. She'd seen me on Fun and sent me a pm asking to join us on a bike ride sometime, we took them out and the rest is history.

Today, though, she was just heading down to walk a dog one of her friends is fostering, so I went along also so we could have a good catch up.

We DO have Spanish here, honest

This posting has slipped further down the fun pages than expected, this just won't do...so to rejuvenate it, let me tell you about something that are happening...

Well the roofvent is stuck in the Hymer again.

Kitchen tap in apartment kitchen is leaking.

Trip to the bank proposed for tomorrow.

All a bit boring I must say...

I could bore you all by telling you how the new bike assembly went....

It's finished. set up to my riding needs. Swapped the tyres and made them tubeless.
Charged the battery and topped up the battery that controls the electronic gear changing..very posh eh...

Not sure electric gear changing is what I want, didn't even know this model had it...more to go wrong I could say.
The Canyon hardtail bike I bought last year came with ABS braking...just how crazy is that...and even crazier when a fault threw up...this put the motor into limp mode...I could have been in a remote location KMs from anywhere....but the bike said don't ride...

Sorry I had to laugh, but a bike in limp mode... With all the woes in nowadays cars and vans, that the bike could go that mode too, never crossed my mind

Wasn't so funny. He had to put the bike back on the car and go home. I rode alone

Yes it's a great bike...not ridden yet, the other bike that controls the rider...has too many complications...all computerised...has alarm immobilisers, tracker but if it has a fault on a safety feature it says stop riding..very annoying indeed..The app on the phone can disable many of these features...but once the safety warning is shown the bike takes control.

Yes my thoughts too but I’m told it is a very smooth change.

The ABS thing sounds absurd, I don’t want that!

Agree...but yes it works well, allows aggressive braking without losing the front wheel.. fortunately it can be disabled...it's all on the New Bosch drive and braking system..
I prefer to have control over my braking..
