Joking aside at least you've got a reasonably accurate date for when your van was built, give or take a week.

HELLSKI I think you could have just solved the problem, just seen this on ebay,I may be completely wrong here but aren't those stock images on the fiat website showing the euro 5+, 2.3 and 3ltr engines with the text reworded accordingly for the new euro 6?
Perhaps someone with the old 3ltr engine could confirm whether this matches their layout???
I suspect the top image might be a euro 5 engine, the graph shows figures for both. I can't be sure but the differences between the euro 6 engines should all be internal though the turbo chargers may look a bit different. I can't imagine the dipstick and oil filters would not be in the same place. The 150 and 180 are the same capacity (2.3) now.
Thanks Jenben,
Thanks for that info@jenben I won’t be sending the van back anyway just don’t like to think we were missold. We want to get out and use ASAP.
That makes a lot of sense as ours looks the same as our old 150 thanksas I recall fiat said they were deleting the larger engine and applying 2 different tuning options 150 or 180 on the same engine from the 2018 model year
I am seriously beginning to dislike ours as to me its gutless compared to the old 3.0 litreHi Alan,
It does say on the V5C 130kw, converted on google = 177 bhp, that still doesn't make it look like the 180 in the picture, I thought for the extra £5500 engine and chassis upgrade, I would be able to tell a difference in performance from the 150 that I took on a test drive, I drove my new motor home all weekend 240 miles and could not tell any difference to be honest.
Thanks Andrew , That's what mine looks like but without the dead fly![]()
Well I suppose I need to get a few miles on the clock before commenting but on driving back from Germany it seemed very responsive and as good if not better than the last two 150 engines we have had granted this is the first time we’ve had the auto box and love it.I am seriously beginning to dislike ours as to me its gutless compared to the old 3.0 litre

As I understand it (and I can’t remember where I found out) but the new 2.3 litre 180 doesn’t get its extra power from a chip. It’s got a different crankshaft, different pistons, different camshaft, different turbos (is it a twin turbo?)It will only be a chip in the ECU. My Renault Traffic is 125bhp. But the 145bhp is the same engine just different ECU. Remap takes them both to 170bhp
