Since I'm having a quiet nightshift I thought I'd update the list, if anyone would like info on PP have a look here.

Anyone interested in fishing might like this http://www.lochryan-leisure.co.uk/, they also do Rib boat rides and if enough where interested I'd be happy to give them a call to see if we could get a deal.

If any off you like Seafood then you're in luck as they have an excellent restaurant called Connor's (formerly Campbell's) in PP, I would recommend booking this well in advance as it can get very busy. It's not cheap but very nice, we would also recommend the crown Inn for food and drink although all the pubs do excellent food.

If anyone would like info on the area or for somewhere to stay either prior to arriving or after departure please feel free to ask.

It is my intention to stop over at Newton Farm 4 miles west of Gatehouse of Fleet on the way to Portpatrick on the Thursday night

It will be bitter sweet for me as I will probably be on my own and this site is possibly 'our' favourite location

No need to book, they are an ex CL but now an informal site

the more the merrier , but quite possibly quite merry even if alone

We're getting close now so thought I'd give a small update and some directions for those who haven't been before, it also looks like we might even get decent weather fingers crossed.

I've said from the start this is a very relaxed with no pressure on anyone to do anything, I've not planned anything apart from Sunshine . However I thought some might be interested in visiting the local castle and gardens on the Saturday Morning.

I've been in touch with Dunskey Gardens who are now closed to the public and only do pre arranged tours. They have informed me if we get enough interested " i said possibly 15 - 30" they would give us a guided tour for £6 PP (no dogs allowed), if anyone is interested in this please let me know before Thursday the 20th and if we get enough I'll see if it can be arranged.

To help you with your decision The Gardens are roughly 1 1/2 mile away or just under 3 via the coast, my thinking is walk the short way there and if anyone is up for it go the coastal route back. Both paths below

I will assume everyone is coming from the East along the A75 but if anyone is coming down the west coast let me know and I'll give you directions if required.

If coming from East as assumed come along the A75 until you see the sign for Portpatrick and Wigtonshire Golf club, turn left here and follow the road to the end. Once here you'll see the sign for PP to the right, drive along for a short distance and you'll see a sign for PP pointing left on the A77. If you follow this road to PP and once past the 30 signs at the start of the village take the first left, the site is 3/4 of a mile along here just after going under an old railway bridge the site is on your left.
