Inconsiderate neighbour !

In Spain My neighbours gardeners come at 7:30. Two of them armed with petrol strimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers and lawn mowers. They usually take 4 hours to trim a 700msq garden. Most of the plot is taken up by the house.
not legal here .8am earliest you can make a noise. 2pm till 4/5pm you are also on dodgy ground if a complaint is made as it is siesta
One of my high performance cars has to be up to temperature (40c) before the darn thing will move. If I have an early morning start 4-5 am I cringe as it makes such a noise just idling (1,200 rpm) and can take 5 mins or more on a cool morning neighbours are brilliant they have never complained but I do feel for them and if anyone does moan I will buy them a bottle of wine and offer to take them for a blat.

whilst the exhaust is loud at around 95db the intake is louder around 120db on full throttle. (Too loud for most tracks).
Wouldn't it be better to get an inline water heater so it is ready to go? Someone is bound to complain eventually & you won't have a leg to stand on..

Only inconsiderate if they didn't offer to do yours.

Reminds me of the time Chris tarrant saw a bloke cutting his grass when he was on his way in to his breakfast show at the time, caused quite a stir

I have been known to cut the grass/weeds at 07.00am on a Monday before leaving for work after being away for a number of weekends so the green waste can go out for the bin boys. Going to work does entail being away for the week and if it is cut the grass or away in Van there's no competition

I will bear that in mind.

Maybe 🤔 I could get an in-line heater and I agree it is a selfish act on my behalf and my guess is I can get away with it once a year not sure what the council would do other than ask me not to do it again…..

Jet washed drive yesterday and patios today
started at 8.30 took 9 hours yesterday for drive but only 4 today for patios ,
i think 8.30 is a reasonable time
and i never ever moan about any others having drinks and getting a bit loud at night,
we all have different body clocks eh?
i have to start van at 5am on a sunday morning to go to carboot too
i do apologise to neighbour but hes easy going lol

worst neighbour on a rally was a guy who went mackerel fishing at first light and proceeded to gut and clean the fish at the fresh water tap. That wasn't the worst part, a flock of seagulls started fighting over the guts very noisily and then flew off with their winnings to sit on caravan roofs eating them. Followed by leaving an awful bloody mess on awnings

That chap was VERY unpopular

One of my neighbours recently bought a new, very loud motorbike and was sat revving it up in the garage. Now that was a noise, as it shook the windows in the houses each side. I mentioned it to him, and with a grin he offered ne the keys to take it out for a ride. Very tempting, but not ridden a bike in years. I understand the need to make that sort of noise occasionally, due to the smiles it creates

they are road traffic offences. 1) leaving a vehicle idling when not in it or
2) sitting in a vehicle with the engine running whilst parked.
3) another is failing to switch off when asked to. goes in addition to the above

that's why they introduced stop/start .In some areas there are actual laws & by laws requiring you to switch off when stopped at lights. All nonsense to me.

! Selfish..
Hi.
Leaving a nice " Soggy " pitch for the next user. Mind you,we saw a chap with a biggish mo/ho on a pitch at Castleton, get ladders and climb up onto the top of it and washed it on his hands and knees. At a CMC site some years back near Gatwick, they had a dedicated c/van-mo/ho washing area with all the gear supplied, i think it was because there was storage there and some units were a bit dirty being in there so long.

When I used to wait at the station in the winter to pick up the other half from work, every one sat with their engines running to keep warm. What else could they do especially when they delay the train

On a caravan club site, the pressure washer would have been in a noise competition with a lawnmower :)
Your not wrong there!!
They always seem to be strimming, hedge trimming, mowing the grass chopping wood I could go on!
It is a pain in the arse feels like you've arrived on a building site

I had a 156 GTA at one stage in my life(loved that car to bits!!) and my neighbour always knew when I arrived home as their cups started rattling in the cupboard a good 60 to 80 feet from my driveway. It wasn't particularly loud, just had a beautiful rumble........

When my SL500 got a bit old I had a hooligan exhaust fitted. There's no sound quite like a V8's rumble!

I will admit to my hubby starting the motocrosser on occasions in the back garden, albeit briefly and never before 9am. Nothing better than the sound of a 250 2 stroke. Now lawnmowers…..that’s a different topic

They smell different as well, castrol r or new mown grass. Haha

Nextdoor to me the gardener starts at 0800 every sunday he has every petrol driven machine you can buy for gardening. Lucky im an early bird. Its too early and very noisy though!
I can sympathise. We live next to a bowling club and the lawn there gets mown by a petrol mower every morning at 7.30. Takes about an hour to finish. Of course this competes with the east coast main line which runs past the bottom of my garden. We've gotten used to it.

When we set out on our first Motorhome outing a few years back, we stayed on a ‘proper’ camp site, ie not an aire or free site. I was still a bit green as to what to expect with ‘posh’ camping, but the sound of a vacuum cleaner really early one morning from the Mo Ho next door admittedly had me in stitches!

8am Jesus, I wouldn't even consider getting up that early at home and certainly not when away in the van.

Half the day is gone by 8am and 8 hours in bed is a third of your life unconscious :Eeek::wink:

I think I'd chuck a lot of nice green grass on a bonfire in the evening as they're playing!
