How about a minibus much cheaper ATM and better looked after! Not stealth though!

Cheers James
ust looked on eBay James, your quite right, seem to be a bit cheaper, but high mileage in a lot of cases, where do I start thinking mileage is too high do you think???

Ok, having a look on eBay, lots of panel vans, some good some not so!

a minefield actually,, problem is, for me, tgey are a long way away, at least tge few I liked are!
I still am unsure about ex ambulance, minibus etc, good prices but again, a distance and very high mileage!

don’t really know what make of van to go for really! Sprinter, crafter, all good but a bit big really, for me on my own anyway!
I shall keep looking, not in a rush, but keep suggestions coming,, when I have made a decision on van type, then I can get into details, layout, power etc,,, Xxxxxx

Oh yes, update on neighbours dramas,,

Steve, in tge flat opposite has been quite ill with stress of all the goings on, so he’s moved to Essex with his girlfriend, to her nans house,

he is backwards and forwards, but not seen much of him,,,

woman upstairs, the nightmare neighbour, has decided to tell us all about the flea problems she has, and now den in the flat opposite has them too, from tge cats she has, that she leaves for days at a time!
She told us this when we saw her spraying copious amounts of flea spray in the hall area! Lovely,, So I got some stuff from Amazon and sprayed all by my front door, just in case!

she has also decided to offer a baby sitting service for tge days she is here and has 2 young kids all day, and neighbours tell me she shouts at them all day too! Someone rang social services, but I havnt got a clue what’s going on, I leave to early and am not really here in the day! Strange though, how she can be responsible for two littluns with all her supposedly mental health problems?

still the saga continues! I will keep you updated! Xxx

Great to hear your doing well Ian.
I'd doubt she's a registered child minder, nut job in a flea infested flat makes you wonder who entrusts their kiddies to someone like that
I hope you find a van to convert, you should get lots of help from on here.
Keep up the good work 😃

An ambulance does have the benefit that it is likely to have rear heating , habitacion batteries already fitted & in the Uk they are maintained & sold on usually in excellent condition. What the insulation is like in them I've no idea? Also there are different types. Patient tranpsort might be better than a medical one? Although a medical one is quite likely to also have water heating alongside the rear heating.
If going for an empty van I'd use a chinese diesel heater which is what I have done. For water I have a gas only Truma ultrastore.
Rust is the problem in the Uk & having been away for so long I can't really pass comment on what might be best? Chassis wise the ivecos here I have found are the nearest thing to lorries & so should not be a rust problem although bodywork might be ?
