I can't believe this

It looks to be a very sensible building easy to erect, no fancy stuff, good on them.
Are the toilets free?
Yes and it's not the only ones that are. Like you say easy built and fits into the historic setting of the area. The main thing is they are practical and manageable. Which given the level of funding LA's are up against is a must. Public toilets cost a hell of a lot to maintain they use to be a regular on meetings I was involved in.

The car parking spaces are very short.

In pic two back end is sticking out

[I meant the car - not the lady passenger]
Yes, the spaces are car length but a 100 yards or so further on there's a very low stone wall, low enough to allow the rear overhang to go over until the rear wheels hit it.
That makes a van about the same length as a car.

Same in France but a lot of spaces in places you'd want to stop , not a 3 spaces in a car park in skipton where you'll probably get gangs of youths rocking the van at 2am
I have stayed at Skipton with no problems

They would be better making the parking spots bigger, allowing overnighting and charging for it, £10 or something.

Have an attendant checking making sure people have paid. People are parking anyway overnight so they may well as charge a bit for it.

But it’s good news though this I’m all for it.
The parking bays can't be any longer or vehicles would be half way out into the left lane.
The council aren't going to demolish the retaining wall and surface the resulting area just to provide extra long bays which could and would be used by cars.

If thay move the big holders and make them 24hr motor home spots not free parking for ever on a blue badge.
It would be ok we can live in hope.
By the way the meemsieb is a blue badge holder but not a piss taker.

Sorry Bill, but blue badges are not allowed in ANY council 'pay to park' carpark including the marine drive.
That's good John I have met so many that think it's a god given right to park whare thay want for as long as thay want
