Yes I agree ours is six, it’s the tester at AM that is a bit fussy I do have a local one that I can use however I used AM as it was due a big service and I know they have the right kit for it next year I will go to my local. I’m sure I can do something with the existing lights it’s a bit fiddly getting into the gubbins but will have a go when the weather improves a bit it’s either to cold or wet latelyHi, Alan. I always breath a sigh of relief when ours passes the mot, because I know about the potential problem with the headlights.
It'll be 7 years old this year and, thus far, hasn't been a problem. We've used two different MOT stations.
In your position, I'd try to find a different MOT tester, rather than forking out for new headlights, which you'll probably rarely use in GB.
