Yes. I know where the information comes from. That's why I said 'proper' forecasts are worth paying attention to. Whereas free apps on the internet will be less accurate for the reasons I mentioned above.

Absolutely, a ‘proper’ forecast would tell you that a place like Lanzarote commonly with a moderate breeze e.g.15mph would make 21c feel like 16c - cool. Nice in a sheltered sunny spot though.

Currently 28°c in our Alhama apartment...
Been riding with a nice group of like minded people near Murcia...was 8° when we started but rapidly rose to 12° by mid afternoon...I had base, three mid layers and shell, ski gloves and of course Lycras...

we were in Javea 28th December to 17th Jan. 17-23c. Had shorts and T shirt on for 19 out of 21 days.

Gone cold now mind. Our friends have stocked up on fire Logs

That Christmas and new year warm-snap is all gone. It snowed then rained on us yesterday, 3C tonight at 10pm. The AEMET forcast predicts cold but relatively clear weather all week, temperatures not to get over 13/14, but lovely in the sun.

I believe that all the Pyrenees ski resorts are delighted as there's more snow here than in Switzerland! Bring your snowboard!

Wrong forum for abrubt/rude replies like that. What weather app will tell me if its unusually cool season in Spain this year? And what's wrong with asking people/friends who are down there for their opinion?

I've been checking the weather around Spain/Portugal and nowhere seems any warmer than 14 degrees at the moment.
It's 10 degrees here in the UK. Is it unusually cool there for this time of year or is it normal? I'm heading that way soon.

Just returned from Benidorm from 1 week away.
Weather was good on Saturday, cooler Sunday.
When sun out it got warm to between 14 to 18 degrees for a few hours, but when the cold wind got up, you were about 10 degrees.
Coat needed at night if out, as around 8 degrees, and rain intemittantly on Weds daytime.
Still better than UK at the moment, and the Tapas, wine and cakes were excellant.
About as accurate as I can be for the week just gone.

Yes, very cold after the sun goes down. The temperature here improves next week and we look forward to those warm winter days again.

Our experience of free apps is that they differ in 10 day forecasts. We left 8th Jan and are currently in Torre del mar. It's been lovely in the daytime since we arrived in Spain. With shorts on. But it gets cold in the evening just like it has for the last couple of thousand years. This time of year. Equally when the wind blows like it did for a couple of days last week, it was bleeding cold. But as we all know down here is, it doesn't last for long because the sun will come out and warm us up

What it isn't is miserable, cold and wet, like it has been for the same period in the UK whilst we've been away, at least where we come from it has. I'd never be wearing my shorts this time of year in the UK. Ever.

But at the end of the day, it's what floats your boat that matters. Eating Tapas and drinking Aperol at the beach bar in January, just happens to be rather nice in Spain this time of year.

Every is complaining on FB here coz it's only been 19c the last few days with cold wind.
The winds are easing tmrw, thankfully

What we found funny was that we were dressed probably like the local Spanish inhabitants and visiting Spanish; coat or fleece , thin jumper, tee shirt, trousers or jeans and shoes or walking type trainers.
Had fun watching the new arrived brits ( like us ) but in wearing tee- shirt , shorts, baseball cap, crocs, trainers or flip flops in a rather bitingly cold wind, as they hurried off to drink even colder English chilled beer and find an enclosed bar where they could keep warm and watch the footy!
Have been to Benidorm many times in Jan to March and always stayed in the Old Town. The weather is generally much warmer than the UK at that time, but it can be changeable and it can get a bit chilly.
Would never contemplate full on summer attire at those times, but some seem impervious to the cool clime, and judging by their body masses of these incoming short term brit visitors, am not surprised

Spoke to the vet today that says its going to unseasonably cold for the next week here in benicassim.
We're off back through cold france so reckon its just spains way of acclimatising us .

It's warmer than at home, which is why we're still here, but definitely a lot cooler than the norm. Reason is an intense high pressure over Atlantic bringing cold airflow down over much of Europe - a good weather app (I use Ventusky) shows it graphically. Not expecting any significant change until next weekend but it's dry and sunny. Frost here this morning just north of Algeciras but almost hot in sunshine out of the wind.

It's the accuweather App. You download it for free then pay a few pounds to get rid of all the adverts. No need to get the top of thr range option which costs the same again,I believe
I have found it to be spot on throughout Europe, Greece, Crete and thr UK and will definitely renew my annual subscription.

Yep same here on Fuerteventura where we are having a cheeky winter break. Had to put my jumper on today! Lots of motorhomes about which surprised me a bit. Not seen any GB/UK ones though.
