You need a Whippet, Greyhound, or as I found out only recently, a Vizsla. They all walk carefully around puddles in the road. As for mud ............ :Eeek:

Funny you should say that, here is out IG and her partner in crime a mini wirehaird daxie

Gorgeous :). One of our Whippets (the dog) is 'normal' size for a Whippet. The other (bitch) is a tiny blue & white whose ears are always up - even when sleeping. Her size suggests she might be an Iggy cross. My avatar is our last Greyhound.

A lot of useful advice already said. Myself and Carol prefer to use the site facilities as it means less tidying up in m/home and saves our water. However this isn’t always possible in which case we use our own shower. Carol is a reluctant convert to micro-fibre towels as they’re easier to dry off and are superb for getting you dry. She now swears by them. My friend Keith has an on/off valve inserted behind the shower head which halts the water flow mid-shower after you’ve “soaped up”. A good idea to help save water. Obviously keep the shower room aerated and wipe down surfaces after use.

We use the van shower when site facilities are not great and obviously on aires .
We have a trigger action on the shower head so easy to stop between soaping and rinsing

We have microfiber towels for the dogs. I hate the feel of them so would never use them on me.

Clicking on the piccie of Lilly reminded me of our springer, a good 20 years gone, used to swim under water, lay in the filthiest puddle she could find, would paddle in rivers in the height of winter and snorkel nd then rub herself clean!
Oh yes, Springers can smell a muddy puddle at ½ mile.:xgrin:

And of course you need the correct towel for a shower in the Motorhome. After use hang outside to dry with the appropriate side facing your neighbour depending on what you think of them.
