How do LV do it

They won’t quote me???
I'm not surprised. Initially they were very welcoming to self converters but then they got a bit difficult so I went elsewhere. Now I'm over eighty, its difficult to change insurers, they get a bit picky.

There are specialist insurers for that, can't think of the ones I used in the past. Oh Adrian Flux was one.
Badly worded by me but I have an Adria Matrix. Mainstream supplier and model. Nothing in their offer came anywhere near that description.

Been ringing around for quotes on insurance , adria sonic tag 10k miles pa full windscreen cover and 180 days in EU. Nfu quoted 731, comfort quoted 532 lv quoted 322 yes 322 such a variation , any reasons I shouldn't choose lv?
Do you know if LV have a limit on value that they will insure? Struggling with MH value over 160/k

I received my renewal from LV last week existing premium £588 going up to £798 called them they immediately knocked £50 off and when I asked if my up and coming house move would change the quote, as reduction down to £540 due to better postcode and driveway parking. 👏👏

Ours has gone up by £40 this year, I dont know if they have a value ceiling ours was put down at 110k and they had no objections

LV put the value of the vehicle at market value so any extras on the van should be declared, they base the premiums on the base model

That's interesting concerning the fact you were able to negotiate a bit off their original renewal quote.

I have just received the renewal invitation from LV= for my Jag and the increase is 54% up on my current premium with them.

But I only paid £167 last year and they want £259 to renew. I checked elsewhere, which was much more and was just going to accept their offer. But I now think it might at least be worth a phone call. However, I'm not in a particularly strong negotiating position because their price include a multi-policy discount, because my wife's car is with them as well as the house insurance. And as such, it's hard to find anybody quoting less - but I think I'll give it a go in any case - they can only say 'no reduction' on their quote.

Edited to add - I just telephoned LV= and asked if they could do a bit better on the renewal quote and sure enough I secured a slightly lower price of £246, which I'm happy with for the Jag. :giggle: So thanks Otter Spotter !! (y)

Multi.policy put you in a srong position you can.move all of them look at the bigger.picture

They have given you a lower price to tie you in with loyalty guilt we have to.play them at their own game however i have a pension with them so please keep paying them

Last week I got quotes from LV & NFU both the same withing a pound on the current van & the one we are getting. Went with NFU as not happy about the way LV just want to know its a Fiat & year not interested in what the van actually is or the value.

Was with Comfort they were cheaper on the current van but silly money for the new one and it would have cost a couple of hundred to cancel when the new one comes. Also not only comfort expensive on the new van not allowed to drive from the dealer without alarm & tracker. Both LV & NFU didn't want an alarm or tracker.

Had a claim last year as deer hit the front of the motorhome. LV were brilliant. Arranged a repair same day. Dropped off vehicle and picked it up three weeks later like new. Even had been valeted outside. Excess paid to repairer. Could not be happier with LV service. Have motorhome plus two cars plus home insurance on multi cover

The major reason to consider LV is that they will provide Comprehensive cover for places like Morocco.

Couldn’t get a quote from LV this year as they no longer offer cover if it’s not kept at your home address. 🤷🏼‍♂️

And no I’m not telling you where I live. 😁

I had that problem with them last year when I needed to store our new MH (in a CASSOA Gold site) while selling our old van stored on our drive.
