I need to get a new hose. I only used mine once last year, and it split first time, but we’ll do more sites this year. What kind do people use, and what length is a good compromise between it being useful, but still easily portable and not much faff?

Used to take a hose but never needed it. Travel with 20L and top up with what we need when we arrive. If staying longer or need to use a 10 L plastic container. Couple of showers much less than 10L. Easier and more ergonomic space wise than a watering can.

We started out with one expandable hose but have added another to be more flexible on distance both cheap off amazon and we have a colapz watering can to top up. Also a bag of every available tap fitting. Definitely carry the rubber sleeve type with metal cinch that you can tighten for attaching to sink taps with no thread.

As I read this post I am watching a motorhomer walking back & forth to a tap with a small watering can about 30 mtrs. For the sake of a decent length hose.

I have a lay flat on a reel 10metres which reaches from the back of my garage where there is a tp to the filler point on the opposite of the van. Came with these push on connectors and and adaptor for the taps with only the screw thread. Also got a similar connector at the van inlet so there is very little mess of water splashing about. A bit of a nuisance to drain and then reel in but patience does the job
