Highlands End Campsite & Jurassic Fields Festival Dorset Meet 7-11 July 2022

Hi Karen
We have booked a gravel pitch for 4 nights. We'd like to add an extra day but couldn't see how that worked on the site. It messed up the discount. So we'll call the office tomorrow and try and get that sorted.

Good to hear that you have booked - forum list updated now :) Think the discount code only works on the Meet dates for next year unlike before where it reduced extended stays too so extra days have to be added as an separate online booking or by calling the booking office.

Please add us to your list (Stephen & Julie).
We have booked a gravel pitch from 7th July to 11th July.
We noticed that providing your first day is the 7th, you get 10% off no matter how many days you book. It does not work if you book from before the 7th July. (If I had enough annual leave, we would have stayed longer)! :giggle:

Hi. We have booked and paid a deposit also added two more days. Discount on the rally full price for the extra two days. Grass pitch.
Booking the Jurassic festival as well.
See you there
Phil

Headline line up for Jurassic Field Festival - The Hoosiers had to drop out but replaced by Scouting For Girls. These are just a few of the numerous acts that will be entertaining for 3 nights! :dance2:Postponed tickets will be valid & include the extra night on Sunday :xThumb:

Highlands End are now involved with promoting Jurassic Fields Festival via their WDLH Facebook Group so this may lead to pitches being booked up sooner for our Meet dates so if anyone is planning to book but hasn't yet please don't leave it too long! It will be fully booked for these dates (always was even before this) so only a question of how long now before that happens.

We have booked a gravel pitch. Normally we like grass but as they are laying our favourite pitches down to gravel we thought we’d splash out. We’ve saved so much money the last two years by not going abroad I think we can afford it!

Jurassic Fields Festival - as I understand it those who have tickets from the postponed festival (check back on your email) will be able to use them for the full Friday-Sunday event this year but if anyone else ants to buy tickets booking has just opened & there is a good concessionary price if you qualify (y) see https://www.tickettailor.com/events/jurassicfieldspaymentsltd/305094
If anyone wants to camp at the Festival instead of Highlands End please note that the festival camping is in addition to the ticket price so to camp there you have to have paid for both & please note the pitch size limit. Think they may offer one day tickets at some point as these are popular with locals but can't be sure.

For information I emailed the organisers to enquire if dogs are allowed in to the event. Their reply is below

“Hi Dave
Unfortunately due to incidents a few years ago that involved the police and animal welfare, sadly we had to make the decision to exclude dogs from the event.
Regards
Dan”

We are now booked in from the Thursday. I am quitting work in two months so dont have to worry about taking extra days.
Howard

UPDATE - PLEASE READ: Contacted Highlands End today to check that there are still pitches available & it seems that at least 8 lots of Funsters might not have used the discount code RA as they have 8 less than on the list on the first post ?! Normally it's more than we have on the list as some forget to tell us that they have booked. The 10% discount should only apply to the meet dates but if booking online for longer so long as it starts on 7 July it is currently applying to all nights - not sure this should happen but that's good for some. If booking is from a day or more earlier (e.g. 6 July) the discount code does not work at all so no reduction to the booking online so would suggest double checking your booking confirmation just in case you are one of the 8. If so please call Highlands End Booking Office on 01308 426947 during office hours weekdays to get it sorted. Don't want anyone to pay more than they should!

Hi Karen, you can make that 7! We are booked from 6th so theoretically no discount is applicable but I phoned them and at first she said “no” but then checked and granted the discount

Thanks for the reminder (y)

Update……. They changed the invoice within minutes and emailed me a new one showing £14 less. Cheers

Interesting, looks like they’ve completely moved the camping field, wonder if that is to do with the rock falls. If it has increased the overall capacity of the Campsite the showers will struggle at peak times.

If you see the old map on post #52 it's the same number of pitches in the same locations, just the few grass pitches nearer to the toilet & shower blocks have been turned into gravel pitches now instead of grass.

That’s good news. Most of the year it’s fine, not that it would ever put us off as we love it there.

Just had this come up on face ache. New menu released for this year in Martin’s Bar. Full menu can be seen here https://bit.ly/35cJFn4

Booked for 4 nights, arriving there on 7th.
Bob and Jan

UPDATE: All grass & hardstanding pitches now fully booked but still some gravel pitches available.

We will be arriving on the 6th now.

Thank you for all your posts - it's not long to go now!:Grin:

Just searched back through my email for Jurassic Fields tickets from 2020 as had printed them off & put them somewhere so safe that I couldn't find them :) From their Facebook posts these are valid for this year's festival so we should finally get to use them - the weekend tickets are valid for all three days even though in 2020 it would have been just Friday & Saturday as Sunday added too now so exceptional value for money so should be worth the wait.

Mine have been stuck on the office board waiting patiently
