Here's the Morelo Grand Empire

I don`t think I was critiquing anyone's Choices nor desires. I was looking at it from the point of view of "was it value for money". Eg; A R-R would be "Desirable" perhaps. But a decent Audi even a Big Ford or Vauxhall, or similar at a fraction of the price would do the same "job" of transport. I make the same, observation about the Current crop of "electric" cars. Might be nice, But the 1/3rd extra cost?. For what from many manufacturers is the same basic vehicle just a more expensive propulsion system.

This turned up yesterday and gave birth to a mini, it looks huge but I’d still have it (if I could afford it) they do look v well made and should do I suppose for the money, but that should go for any motorhome as non are cheap really

A car in the back is something I never can get my head around. You need a longer vehicle and a heavier chassis in reality. So immediately your options become limited both for length of parking the van and exiting with the car. The argument I often hear in favour is that it saves all the hassle of towing a car and parking the trailer. I think the issues with both are equal but different with the car in the boot coming off worse as at least you can stash the trailer somewhere and park the shorter van and the turning circle of the train will be smaller than that of the longer car in the garage van.
But lots buy them!

If twelve Funsters were to purchase one on a share-only basis then each share would be 4-5 weeks per year (about the average MoHo usage of a busy working family) and they would get an Empire Liner to use instead of something a bit, errrrrr, less sophisticated
Like aircraft or yacht share! Good idea!

I couldnt agree more Michael. Some of the smaller versions are very compromised by doing this both technically and as all ready has been said what it does to the bedroom. However I do think the bedroom in the Grand Empire is the least compromised 'car garage' one Ive seen.

One of the long term french guys in Morocco had a very good set up as he had a 4 wheel trailer that carried the car down and then parked alongside his Clou and became a balcony. Worked perfectly for Terre D'ocean but a bit limited in other places. The most nuts one one Ive seen was I think a 12 metre Phoenix on a Eurocargo in Morocco, very well made MH but what a nightmare to manouevre, but then again the very friendly parisian owner told me that all he wants is something to keep his wife happy while windsurfing on the southern beaches by Tan Tan

Sorry must of missed this post, we went to signature earlier in the year to have a look at yanks, so much space in them, bit concerned over build quality looking at the wooden cabinets, get a lot for your money though, I would probably have done a deal on a windsport but they wouldn’t touch mine as said the RS were too unique!
