Rally HEREFORD RALLY 27th June - 1st July 2024

Polly Im afraid I shall have to cancel. I was hoping my motorhome would be back on the road by now. I broken down on my way to the Norden Farm Rally in May and was recovered back to my local garage. I knew they were busy and they only have one ramp that will take my size motorhome , the others are not strong enough. I was told last week i would know this week what was wrong with it but Ive not heard anything and its still parked where it has been for the last 5 weeks. i do know its not EGR , they think the timing has jumped but need it on the ramp.

So sorry to hear this. Hope you can get it fixed and be up and about soon. This may mean we are number 1 on reserve list🤞

It's changed to being a bit wet in mid France, and at this moment busily attempting to send the cash to Polly. I am wondering what the weather is like in the UK, more precisely Hereford. I know that field can be very sticky in the wet, as I have had the experience of late cancelations.

Thanks for your tourist info some great visits there.
Is it raining and how high is the river? Its piddling down here hoping the weather will brighten up

Oh no! Tony's just recieved a doctors appointment for 28th June.

BUT don't worry it's only a telephone appointment at 12 midday so alls fine to join the fun🎉🥳

Polly If your bank details are the same. I can pay as soon as a place for us is confirmed. Is it £65

Soap Opera nearly over.

Great info Swifter , thank you.

We visited the Waterworks Museum last year, as we stayed an extra night due to going straight to Drax, it was really interesting and to be recommended. The model engineering railway next door also has an open day on the same Sunday, so definitely worth a walk along the river to visit both 🚂

We spent a very enjoyable few hours looking around the Waterworks Museum last year and it is way better than the title might sound, and is especially interesting for those with and interest in engineering.
We will certainly be paying a return visit this year. (y)

Next door to the Waterworks Museum is the Hereford Society of Model Engineers who have an open day on Sunday the 30th and will be running their miniature railway.

Polly
Sorry to be a PITA, but the dates in the title thread say :-
27th June to 1st July

Then in the first post within the thread, the dates are :-
27th June to 2nd July

Which is the correct date please?
