Help Fogstar 280Ah battery issue in Spain

I’d also recommend having the Bluetooth version so if there are problems you can update the BMS settings.
Bec@Fogstar, how do those of us who have genuine Fogstar products, but not necessarily the Bluetooth versions, go on with getting the same support as those with please? 🤷
Our Victron Smart Shunt provides certain information, but obviously not as detailed as your Bluetooth App might do.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

A few years ago I bought a fogstar. I had a couple issues with my battery not being delivered, but the communication was excellent throughout and eventually I was upgraded to a 300amp battery free of charge. I didn't have to go through a third party or contact a manufacturer or deal with people in another country. It was reassuring after ordering online.

Same here

Been in Spain for two weeks and everything was working fine with the new Fogstar 280Ah LiFePO4 battery. Tonight power cut out and is only capable of discharging enough to run the fridge electrical for gas. Turn on any lights and the discharging stops. I then have to turn it on and off again. It keeps coming up with an over current charging alarm but I’m stationary, no solar now and not connected to electric. Cell voltages look unusual to what they have been. Chargers are eviction Orion xs and MPPT 100/30 all set up to recommended profile from Fogstar support.

Any ideas would be appreciated?

Have you checked the connections are tight and haven’t worked loose
This same thing happened to someone I know and it was loose connections

Many thanks Bec for your supportive reply.

Much appreciated. 👍

Just an update. My bms settings were corrupted somehow, after correcting them with the help from Fogstar. The battery is still unusable as the cell immediately goes massively out of balance on any power draw.

I have to say that Fogstar offered to ship me a new battery to Spain if I could accommodate that, but I have no need as was on journey back. They have offered to replace when back home.

Also, as another member said that they monitored this forum and urged me to get in contact shows how seriously they take their customer service.

Thanks to all again who have tried to assist with advice, it is really appreciated.

👍
