DIRECTIONS FROM THE SOUTH:
Leave A19 at junction with A689 and follow directions for Hartlepool town centre, this road will take you all the way to your destination. It is dual carriageway all the way.
After a few miles you will come to the town centre with firstly Camerons Brewery and then the Middleton Grange shopping centre both on your left.
Keep straight on over the railway bridge and you will see the masts of HMS Trincomalee ahead of you.
Continue straight on with Asda on your left (cheapest diesel and LPG in town here if you need to fill up).
At the next roundabout go all the way around the roundabout to return in the opposite direction and then turn immediately left after 50 yards.
The rally site will be straight ahead of you.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH:
Leave the A19 at the junction with the A179 and follow signs for Hartlepool Town Centre, this road will take you all the way to your destination. It is dual carriageway nearly all the way.
You will eventually approach a roundabout where you will clearly see the masts of HMS Trincomalee ahead of you.
Go straight ahead at this roundabout and then turn immediately left after 50 yards.
The rally site will be straight ahead of you
If you need to fill up with the cheapest diesel or LPG in town continue straight on after the roundabout and then turn right at the next roundabout for Asda.

FACILITIES:
I have arranged a standpipe for fresh water and there will be a manhole we can use to dispose of cassette and grey waste.
There will be three large commercial size wheelie bins for rubbish. Please ensure we keep the rally site neat and tidy so that the Council will allow us to use the site again in the future.

ON ARRIVAL:
You will be parked up by one of the Marshalls

You will receive a sheet on arrival showing where shopping facilities, bus stops, restaurants etc are located (most of which are within spitting distance of the rally site)

You will receive vouchers for Funster discounts at the adjacent pub and also for the Maritime Experience which is now part of the Royal Navy Museum.

Jacksons Wharf is offering 20% off food all weekend for Funsters on production of your voucher. Note that this is ALL WEEKEND not just for one meal.

The Maritime Experience is offering admission for £5.50 compared to the normal admission price of £9.25 and you can visit at any time convenient to yourself over the course of the rally.

ENTERTAINMENT:
There are many bars and restaurants in the Marina and the town centre and there is a Mecca Bingo and a multiscreen cinema within 5 minutes walk. There are two Wetherspoons pubs in staggering distance for their diehard devotees.

We have no Funster marquee where people could mingle and get to know each other, so on Friday night there will be a social gathering at 8:00pm in the Jacksons Wharf pub which is quite literally only 50 yards from the rally site.

Close enough to crawl back to your van on hands and knees if you have particularly enjoyed the company and the local ales.

Come prepared to mingle, meet new Funsters and put faces to forum names.
On Saturday night Motorhomefun’s very own band the Rex-Factor will be banging out tunes that you can sing along to from the 60s and 70s.

Sunday morning will see the Motorhimefun tradition of bacon sarnie being served in the pub from 10:00am

Sunday night is the final of Euro 2106 and the pub has a number of TVs which will all; be showing the final. Perhaps one of the home nations will be participating?

PAYMENT:
For those who have already paid the full rally fee of £20 per unit THANK YOU - there will be nothing further to pay

If you have only paid your deposit, PLEASE pay the second instalment of £10 as I am currently subsidising this rally to the tune of more than £200!.

For those who have booked late or have not yet paid for some reason (I know who you are!) the total rally fee of 20.00 will be payable on arrival.

Please try and have the right money available to make life easy for the Marshals.

Any surplus funds left after paying all the costs to Council, water companies, waste disposal etc will be donated to the local Hospice which does fantastic work on limited funds. Accounts will be available to view.

Last year we raised over £200 for the Hospice and another £160 for the RNLI.

By the way, there is still space available if anybody wants to come along (for insurance purposes you must be a PAID UP Funster to attend rallies)

Thanks for the offer but we are completely on hard standing so no way to peg it down.
Anywya, theres loads of room in the pub - and they even serve non-alcoholic drinks!

There is still plenty of room and it will be great to see you there.

Please Pay the rally fee of £20 by Paypal as follows:

1. Log into your Paypal account

2. Click the "Pay or Send Money" button

3. Click "Send Money to friends and family" DO NOT click "Pay for
goods" (Paypal will deduct its fees if you do this)

4. type hartlepool-rally@hotmail.com in the box (doublecheck that
you have typed this absolutely correctly otherwise the money gets lost!)

5. type 20.00 in the amount box (include the pence otherwise I only
receive 20p)

6. type your motorhomefun user name in the box marked "Write a note”
so I know who has sent me their money (I wasted hours last year
trying to work this out)

7. Click "Continue" and CHECK THAT THE DETAILS ARE CORRECT
AND COMPLETE before clicking "send money now"

Its not a problem. Worst case you can turn up and pay on the day, BUT its important for space planning to know how many vans will be turning up, so please let me know as soon as you can. (y)

Come on people, if you have your name down for this rally, PLEASE pay your rally fees. ( thank you to all of tnose who have paid in full)
You may not know this, but there is no big organisation funding this rally. I have to pay all the fees out of my own bank account and currently i am still out of pocket.
Not happy. :(
