It's either been removed, or it's in one of the secret forums to which only a select few have access.
It's in the U-shaped lounge.

U shaped lounge ! For general discussion not motorhome chat ?
Yes.

U Shaped Lounge is where the older thread lives.
Not sure how MHF members lose or get access there. 🤷‍♂️
They usually lose the ability to go in there if they have been 'naughty' in the past, eg been offensive, argumentative etc, for which they are often banned/suspended from posting for a while, then if once able to post again they continue in the same/similar vein, they are then permanently barred from going in there ever again.

Yup.

Blimey, I'm not a Royalist, but some of the comments on this thread are a bit harsh. Taking a pop at the Queen's family is a bit below the belt at this time?
Agree 100% I am not a Royalist either but still find it sad news about the queen who has given her life to this country. And to the peaple who have got nothing to say other than bad mouth them all, Don’t bother posting on this thread. Like my parents always said to me, Mike if you got nothing good to say don’t say anything.

Can we keep this thread on point about the Queen rather than her wider family 'issues' please.

The older one at Broken Link Removed stayed civil ;)

Please don’t look at twitter then. It’s an absolute cesspit.

I have to say I do find the BBC running their non stop obituary commentary and footage a bit premature!
They've just played a game of 'guess who was getting off the plane'.

Sadly the news is not looking good. I know she's not done everything right and not kept up with views quick enough at times. But what ever view people have nothing can be said other than at a young age she gave a life long commitment to public Service. Which she has done without being self centred or without dignity. With total understanding and knowledge that no-one is bigger than the role. All things that many in public service and public life would do well to follow.

This, in a very sad way, is big news. Our European cousins newspapers have it pretty much as the headlines.

Official complaints going in to the BBC that they may consider cancelling East Enders tonight.............god help us.

Indeed. Made me feel sick and angry when a BBC News correspondent at Balmoral reported lunchtime that: 'Crowds of photographers, journalists and the public are gathering here'.

If it was me I'd damn well stay fit and leave them out there getting cold and wet for a very long time.

Looking at the gates of Balmoral reminds me of the time I was standing there waiting for the family to arrive for summer and soon as they got through the gate Andrew or Edward had to run out and pee behind a tree. Probably 50 years ago.

It's depressing. I remember the day when Prince Phillip died every single channel was running it all day and night. I was so depressed when I went to bed that night, it really dragged me down. I should have just switched off. I am not watching any of it this time.

Gina.

They are news correspondents, its what they do, Sky etc are just the same. De Telegraaf in The Netherlands even has details of Operation Unicorn! This is the biggest news story in the world at the moment. The bit I don't get is 'the public' turning up at Balmoral. Can't they just stay at home?

She’s my ex boss and one that will be sadly missed by all. We will never see another reign like this and If the worse does happen my thoughts are with all her family.

Sad news indeed

The BBC as usual milking it for all their worth with wall to wall repetative inane verbage.

Listened to 1.00 pm news on R4 to hear about the new PM's announcement on energy prices. Couldn't believe how much twaddle they managed to spout out of a small announcement by the palace.

When/if she does pass on it will be wall to wall coverage for weeks. Nothing else in the world will be of any importance. :(

She's been the Queen for all my life. It'll be a very sad day when she's no longer here, no matter what you think about royalty.
I was just about to say exactly the same thing, she has been almost the queen for all my 75 years although she wasn't the queen for the first 5 years, she has been there, when people respected her she has been a permanent thing in all that has gone on in all my life.
Not particularly into modern royals, but she will really be missed.
