Vegetarian is much easier with the addition of cheese, eggs, milk, no good if allergic to dairy though.
So have I, 2,slices, peanut butter on one and tahini on the other.I've just had a lovely vegan snack, peanut butter on toast![]()
Coming home early one morning on my motorbike, (I cleaned for the local doctor) there was a small Deer lying partly on the pavement just down the road from my house.
I dumped the bike at home and went back for the Deer, I had to drag it back up the road to where I lived as it was too heavy to carry. Got some funny looks!
I butchered most of it as some was not good enough to use.
Had Venison in the freezer and on the table!
Another time 1st hubby driving along, I’m passenger, we hit a Pheasant, he reversed up, I grabbed the bird, acted dead until a few yards down the road when it started flapping, great fun!
Have taken the breasts off a roadkill Pigeon for supper.
Sounds a great working relationship.I have a terrible confession to make, tis the worst ever. I’m a pure meat eater to my heart, would happily nosh on road kill, butcher’s special sausages and anything that is meat and why not, baby Jesus gave us the teeth to eat meat, so I munch and chew away, but here’s the hardest part to admit…….
SWMBO is a, gulp, vegetarian![]()

They had fresh tripe in last time I was in so that's my dinner for tonight.
Absolutely love the stuff. I could eat it by the bucketful.

Whilst the meat eater would benefit a vegetarian would never eat anything that has been on the same plate as meatSounds a great working relationship.
When you order meat & two veg, with a bit of rearranging, one has double meat and the other double veg!![]()
Looks lovely apart from the bread.....Had a nice lunch
Avocado and tomato with houmous, lemons and a slice of rye bread.
X4 squares of 100% dark chocolate.
I don’t feel as strong not eating meat but have loads more energy, I was dancing around the Motorhome this morning.

What sort of bread do you like?Looks lovely apart from the bread.....
Has to be gluten free and the best of the commercially available is Warburton's.What sort of bread do you like?
The problem I find with 99.9% of bread is the ingredients are terrible, full of additives etc, I was looking at some the other day, I mean who wants to put diglycerides of fatty acids in bread in addition to a whole load of other additives.Has to be gluten free and the best of the commercially available is Warburton's.

One of my daughter-in-laws has separate cutlery and crockery for the meat eaters and if you eat meat you have to cook elsewhere and eat outside.Whilst the meat eater would benefit a vegetarian would never eat anything that has been on the same plate as meat![]()
What a mess. One of my daughter-in-laws has separate cutlery and crockery for the meat eaters and if you eat meat you have to cook elsewhere and eat outside.
It all seems pretty ridiculous to me that we should be bound by religious fantasy on anything.I believe that some Jewish people require separate kitchens for meat and dairy as well as separate utensils and crockery.
The Roma won't share crockery or utensils with non-Romani guests.
There's a lot of interesting (to me at least!) religious based food rules. For example all insects are forbidden from being eaten in Islam, except for locusts. You should also never eat or drink using your left hand.
The Old Testament also isn't happy about people eating shellfish (Deuteronomy, Leviticus). If it doesn't have fins and scales then it shouldn't be on your plate.
As a species, we have a complicated relationship with what we eat!
I agree , I only buy the sourdough one. Only ever eat it toasted and a real bargain at only £3.60 perHas to be gluten free and the best of the commercially available is Warburton's.
