It might still be a good time to order as the price has been rising week on week for the past month or so.

Trying to place an order, quoted 63p including VAT - eek! and delivery will take up to 15th November.

It's turning into an expensive week ......................

I gambled on of waiting to see if the oil price would continue to drop when it was at 40p a litre a couple of months back
Hoping the price would settle and drop back after the petrol fiasco, this morning I bottled out and ordered 500 litres to keep us going while I wait
in the maybe vain hope of the price dropping again any time soon.

Interesting, that there is an energy price cap on elec and gas, but there isnt on heating oil.

We have not used this supplier for a couple of years, so I would suggest dropping them an email asking the question.

I normally get quotes from four or five suppliers before ordering.

Two said they had no deliveries available! One (Boiler Juice) quoted 65p, in the end I paid about 60p..

Last 500lts I bought at the end of last winter, cost around £200, this time £300

have you tried : the oil-club. I’ve found them to be very competitive.

I weep. Just checked the prices here in France: equivalent to 88p per litre (1.04€ per litre for 1000 litres)

Today in France my niece has had to pay 1.60€ per Lt on a 1000 Lt. Double last year's price

As well as The Heating Oil Club, we also buy through The Oil Club as Podney mentioned depending on which has the best price at the time we buy.

And that's with only 11.4p per litre fuel duty and 5% Vat on heating oil as opposed to 57.95p per litre fuel duty and 20% vat on road fuels.

Ordered 1,000 ltrs from our independent supplier today at 97.40 lt + tax = 102.27 , Boiler Juice always seem expensive.
