First you tell me your wife possibly isn't coming then you ask me to spend the night :):) I know a like a free drink but I have my limits :):)

I'm working at 5 am next morning, if you lot would like a wee tour of Dumfries such as Rabbie Burns stuff then let me know and I'll do that for you. There's a lot of history in Dumfries
 
No , trust me David, foods great. We ate in it 3 nights :D
though only noticed on the last night you can ask for a take away.

Steaks are good David, the folk who own the hotel also own a wholesale butcher business and local butcher shops. We get all our butcher meat from them and can't fault it.

Their sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake is lovely.
 
Heres another tip. If you go to the castle after 6.30pm when it closes you can walk around the grounds for free.(y)

No luck I am afraid. We ate at lunchtime so just had snack in the van this evening. Us oldies can't eat two full meals in a day.

I think @pigginchilli (Steve and Nade) are at Glencaple at the moment. They saw a van with a funster sticker - go and say "hi" please!!!!!!

you got there before me - and I just sent a text to Steve and Nade!
 
If you park up at the estate grounds you can follow the trail path for free but your better just driving up at night or pay your ££££ during the day.
 
If you dont mind a walk then you can walk from Glencaple, go as far as Castle corner (car park with height barrier on right) Then walk through the car park and follow the trail to the castle.

Ooh could be a date! I we're not sure where we're going between Millport and Falkirk so will put this in the diary. Allan and I are partial to a G&T so will thank you for the invite to @DavidG58 bar!

We might come to the bus meet, maybe not for all the days as we've a couple of friends we are meeting up. Why should my ears be burning? Hope you're only saying nice things lol

he planned it, I somehow think my social secretary had some input @Debs :D2:D2

I was up for a cosy twosome, :):) then Bev decided to come along, now the second biggest gin drinker I know, Loren wants a bit as well

must stock up on gin :):)
 
I hereby declare an official gin meet/tasting at Glencaple the night before Falkirk wheel. Be there or be square lol
 
I think I might put in for a holiday on the Friday :).

If any you guys are in the area next weekend then pop in to Dumfries for the day as its our Guid Nychburrys weekend so loads of things happening. The horses start the ride out around 7 am and the pubs open at 6am
