But which one? The french bed or the drop down? Making up the lounge one is too much hassleHere we go again....How many times is this topic going to come up..
As you all know by now I am stonche use it lose or lose it when it comes to Sorn'ing.
However I appreciate there are plenty to disagree with me BUT also just as many who agree.
Time to put this subject to bed perhaps ????????????
Used to be the fine was sent automatically if not taxed when due & not put on sorn?but I won’t be sorning it!
NonsenseIf not taxed or sorned, your insurance is invalid.
Still nonsense. You are insuring a vehicle .It doesn't have to move to be insured nor does it have to be mot'd.I meant if not taxed or not sorned, insurance is invalid.
has to be taxed or sorn or its an automatic £80 fineSo am I and I won’t be sorning mine, might not tax it straightaway when it’s due, but I won’t be sorning it!
so where you going to use? it total lockdown for a monthHere we go again....How many times is this topic going to come up..

Sorry I should re phrase my comments!has to be taxed or sorn or its an automatic £80 fine
Tesco for food...B@Q for paint... Iceland for frozen... local farm butcher for meat... local log supplier for clugs for fire..so where you going to use? it total lockdown for a month
Weel that wid save you a trip tae butcher fur fresh meat.Work is the last place I would take our van, it’s a #### hole with rats, and human rats as well.
Agree, we do monthly DD for our tax as we can then SORN it easily and re-tax is when we want to, it doesn't cost much more than paying it all up front but gives a lot more flexibility and no messing about waiting for a refund cheque.I don’t get what the hassle is. To SORN takes about 5 minutes, and about the same to re_tax the vehicle. The only hassle that I used to find was that DVLA refund with a cheque, but since using the banking app, on a phone, I photo the cheque and it is paid in
Save about £5.20 a week, it’s a no brainier!
What's the point it only saves 3½ quid a week and a lot of hassle if you want to go out in the van.
Hère all vehicles must be insured on the road or not . Likely logic is they could still cause a fire . Or be in a building ie ours are in our barn which goes on fire. But we don’t have road tax .Used to be the fine was sent automatically if not taxed when due & not put on sorn?

It's Like saying your house insurance isn't valid if you fail to pay council tax.
You can cancel the policy of course to 'switch it off' but not a risk I'd take. The reason for the higher charge when on a 'laid up' policy is likely because it's a different underwriter or the new type of policy is only provided by a limited number of companies who are less competitive with their prices. It has to be taxed or sorned.
What a pity the insurance cant be switched on and off as easily.
Our annual premium is about 300. When i enquired about it being off road and laid up like a
vintage car the quote was £600.

Not possible with NatWest, their on-line banking is outdated and the app is too:What Bank is that? Can't find that on Nat West App.
You're going to the wrong insurance people, I've a 1964 Cooper S which I insure fully comp with agreed valuation for less than £100 pa. My 911 costs around £270 pa. MoHo is about £300.paIt has to be taxed or sorned.
What a pity the insurance cant be switched on and off as easily.

Yes did it last night!I hope you did it yesterday otherwise you'll have paid for November!
Would check your insurance first as the dealer's will not normally be as good.Mine is at Dealers for warranty again !! they might as well keep it parked up there I can see the Month's Lockdown announced last night, lasting longer, unless they announce increased fine amounts and, charge more people for ignoring the Law.
