FRIDAY ARRIVALS

Arrive whatever time you please and make your way to your pitch having visited reception. If your motorhome pitch is currently occupied we will temporarily park you up. You will need a £10 deposit for the barrier entry system.

WHERE TO FIND US

We are on pitch TOU41 and the marquee will be on pitch TOU48 these pitches are near the fishing lake.

If you cannot find us for any reason we have friends on pitches TOU37 through to TOU55 and family in 17 18 and 26 Evergreen Way statics so dont be shy introduce yourselves and make some new friends.

SITE ADDRESS

Waldegraves Holiday and Leisure Park, Mersea Island, Colchester, CO5 8SE telephone 01206 382 898. When you enter Mersea Island you take the left fork. Please go over the speed bumps very SLOWLY as some are quite high and I dont want anyone damaging their vehicles.

TIDE TIMES - IMPORTANT

Access to Mersea Island is over the Causeway that is covered by the sea at high tide

FINAL ITINERARY

Friday evening
Welcome drinks, communal bbq/american supper & other food in the marquee followed by either our own entertainment in the marquee or entertainment in the club house. Bring what you like to eat/drink and chairs to sit on. If anyone has any extra chairs it would be helpful xxxxx

Saturday, daytime
Entertainment if you wish to join in, hosted by onsite entertainment team. The outdoor pool will be open depending on weather. There is fishing and a golf driving range, play area and more. You are welcome to use the Marquee throughout the day.

Saturday evening
Party time, you are welcome to dress up or wear party frocks. Birthday Buffet from either 6.30 or 7pm in the restaurant with Karaoke, Rock n Roll and party dances alternatively you may join the main entertainment in the clubhouse where they have having a "hula night". You are also welcome to use the marquee. (There will be no charge for the food as we are providing this).

We will have an extension to midnight in the restaurant

Sunday
Why not take a stroll around the morning car boot sale or alternatively a relaxing walk along the beach
Sunday 1pm birthday & farewell lunch in the Granary Restaurant
Sunday evening - whatever everyone fancies doing

so that means no alcohol whatsoever as its very fattening

Anyone seeing ukbill with alcohol is to confiscate it immediately and give it to me.

Yes we will being having a bbq :thumb::thumb::thumb: combined with american supper sharing table whatever you want to call it xxxx

I always bring along a lasagne for sharing xxx specially for UKBill

Remember we only have 2 charcoal bbqs to feed the 5000 we usually manage it somehow

plastic cups, beer tumblers and paper plates all packed

ALAS I am without birthday cake - our friend who was meant to get it from Costco forgot and is now somewhere on an aeroplane over the sea.

Gutted as I dont have a costco card so if anyone attending mersea has a costco card and could nip and buy me a birthday cake let me know and I will pay you as soon as I see you otherwise I am sure I will find something somewhere

Went down to the compound yesterday to check the van over,found a flat tyre,blew it up,went again today,checked it,not lost any pressure ,so hopefully it was an iffy valve,fitted new core.Tyres should be OK only 6 months old.Anyway,off shopping in the morning for essentials beer wine beer wine and just as a precaution more beer.Hopefully be there about midday,looking forward to seeing you all.:thumb::party2::party2:

most of us are here safe and sound just bumped into dawn and mike ,mike is a great guy but how he puts up with dawn is beyond me all she does is drink unlike us teetotalers

Almost correct, I went poking around in Dawn's MH and she pushed me out of the door and I sort of fell out.
Bill is eating like a horse, wine in each hand, got his relative so drunk the poor fellow kept falling over, but to be fair, Bill was trying to be helpful by drinking the poor guy's vodka for him.
Bill and Dawn are real cosy and are getting on really well:thumb:
