It is a business trip - I would far rather be in West Mersea, believe me. Anyway, phone Waldegraves and they will use the money as credit toward the November bash, so all is not lost.........

Official check in time is 3pm but my understanding at the moment is the pitches are not booked out so you could end up arriving at 10am and driving straight on your pitch.

There is absolutely no pressure to join in with anything. Come, take advantage of the discounted rates, stay as long as you wish, chill, have fun and join in when you want to.

HIGH TIDE TIMES

If you have not visited here before please make sure you plan your journey to avoid the high tides as queues can form and you can be stuck for up to an hour whilst the causeway to the island is covered with water.

Mind you, the van is clean and sparkling inside and even got the original beige (!) carpets down for the first time since it was bought. Looking forward to being back and collecting the new bus on 23rd, so not all bad.

Hi Gail, that weekend we are in Wisbech camping with my brother and his wife who bizarrely still prefer tents. If it is raining, we can guess where they will end up

A weekend at greatly discounted prices, to join in as and when you please with hardstanding pitches near the fishing lake, toilet block, laundry area, showers and indoor washing up area and use of a marquee

The reserved fun Pitch numbers are Plot TOU32 through to Plot TOU55 please ask for one of these pitch numbers when booking. They are all hardstanding with electric and close to washing up area, showers, toilet block and laundry room.

£32 Friday and Saturday 16th and 17th May (2 nights) leaving by 3pm Sunday
£48 Friday 16th May to 19th May (3 nights) leaving 3pm Monday
£80 Friday 16th May to 23rd May leaving by 3pm

All pitch prices include up to 4 people and 2 dogs.

FRIDAY ARRIVALS

Arrive whatever time you please and make your way to your pitch having visited reception. If your motorhome pitch is currently occupied we will temporarily park you up. You will need a £10 deposit for the barrier entry system.

SATURDAY ARRIVALS

Anyone invited to the saturday evening buffet and entertainment is welcome to arrive on site from 10am and use the facilities. Please text or telephone so we can greet you on arrival. Even if you are just coming for the day dont forget fishing golf and the open air pool can be used.

It is expected the saturday evening entertainment and buffet will commence between 6.30pm and 7pm. I have paid for this so there is no charge.


WHERE TO FIND US

We are on pitch TOU41 and the marquee will be on pitch TOU48 these pitches are near the fishing lake.

SITE ADDRESS

Waldegraves Holiday and Leisure Park, Mersea Island, Colchester, CO5 8SE telephone 01206 382 898. When you enter Mersea Island you take the left fork. Please go over the speed bumps very SLOWLY as some are quite high and I dont want anyone damaging their vehicles.
