Full time through winter in search of new life

I suggested, long ago when everyone was complaining about being inundated with Polish Plumbers that, those of us with a few bob, should go over to Poland and buy up some cheap properties.

No one did except the rich Plumbers when they returned to Poland! 😢

They are now even richer! 🤔

We are just in the process of moving in Poland, only 10kms away. Both parties have signed in front of a Notary and we paid 15% deposit with the agreement providing for completion on 31st March. No chain, as sellers are just finishing a new build and Basia is a cash buyer. Process very easy.

The house is 3-bed, 2 bathrooms, large open living/dining/kitchen area, plus basement with wet room. Smaller garden(our wish), large yard with two garages one for 2 cars and another 12m x 4m x 4m, ideal for our MH, or even a Morelo :giggle:

It is in a similar neighbourhood to now and not far from our friends, two live v. close, doctors and hospitals etc.

It has been refurbished to a high standard and has security lighting and electric gates. No Polish plumber needed ! They are leaving nearly all nice furniture, but we will take our major pieces.

Price? - £233,000 - one sixth of my terrace house in London, which I still have.

Now just to get rid of a lot of junk here in the basement and outhouses.

It is, nearly, as exciting as getting a new MH.

Damn it!
I missed The EastEnders Drum Roll at the end of the last cliff hanger episode.
Has he, did he, actually part with money and buy something?
Where is this war torn frantic place/country? Do they speak with Russian accents?
How long will it take him to litter pick a 1 mile radius?
Will neatly seemed Kharki Uniforms be the required dress code at dinner in the restaurant?
Is the adjoining land mined to keep the Travellers away?

Cant wait for the next revealing episode, can you?
LES;):giggle:

Still a bargain but just think, if you had bought when I first spoke about it years ago, you could have afforded the house AND a new MH for the same outlay! 😄

You are comparing apples and pears.

'Years ago' 30? This family-shared house (jerry-built in 1947) where we live, would not have been worth the near £1m it is selling for, because it was on an out-of-town lane but now the location is prime commercial, so is being sold to a retail company for the land and the house will be demolished.

As for a MH they hardly existed in Poland then.

I've always taken this thread with a large print of salt.
If Mr B hadn't actually met Dawsey, the pinch of salt would be even larger.
However, I do enjoy reading the thread. I find it well-written and entertaining and while I'm sure it's embellished (and almost certainly not entirely factual) I think it is probably loosely based on fact as well as on fantasy.
I particularly like the way in which Dawsey is manipulating his audience by drip-feeding information. It makes for entertaining spectator sport.
If he has actually bought a property, I suspect it is in the UK.
I'll look by later to see whether there's another gripping instalment 😀😀😀.
moi?

Doesn't look like it I know, but it is entirely factual

Just don’t really understand why you can’t tell us which country. Wouldn’t bother to keep reading but it passes the time waiting for daughter’s flight to arrive. It would be more interesting if we knew that. At the moment it’s just waffle. Like reading the Daily Mail.

Sadly, the world has become a very cynical place lately, but saying that,
if someone told me the saga of my life adventures and experiences in the third person situation, I wouldn't believe them completely either!

A different world exists out there ( or used to) if one has no ties and are prepared to take the chances! 😄

Excellent value I would say. Well done.

Yeah we’ve seen enough stocking tops and suspender belts now and we are ready for the main event! 🤪😘

Please can you link agent details etc too…

How many cars and bikes do you still have?
I live in the Mayenne, reasonably close to Dessertines where the mill is situated, its name is Le Moulin de la Quentiniere, they do have a web site and appear to be still trading, although if you look you will find reference to adverts for sale, local knowledge of the area is accurate as Fougerolles du Plessis does have an award winning boulangerie.
Can't help with the vehicle collection though.
Just be patient and all will be revealed (hopefully)

It amazes me that the general population of MHF think they can dictate to people how to write THEIR threads!
Let's not scare another poster off as I for one enjoy reading it, even if it is in installments a d even if some people find it hard to believe.
